Entire families were exterminated, communities ravaged, parents were forced to watch their children get raped & murdered, children were forced to watch their parents get raped & murdered. Fun-loving, peaceful youngsters were massacred at a music festival in some of the most gory & grotesque ways imaginable. Another 5000+ were injured & 250 hostages were abducted for up to 2 yrs in the tunnels of Gaza, where many were also murdered, raped, starved, sexually assaulted & tortured. May the memories of those slaughtered be a blessing. The world has scarcely borne witness to such acts of evil & depravity. Yet despite Palestinian H@mas terrorists live-streaming their atrocities in real time for all to see, they still enjoy support from millions of antisemitic "progressives" in the West - so strong is their hate for Jews. The double tragedy of October 7 has been much of the world's reaction and treatment of Jewish communities around the globe in the aftermath. While we certainly have our allies out there who stand with us (you are seen and very much valued), Jews everywhere have been on the receiving end of a non-stop onslaught of an unprecedented onslaught of antisemitism. It’s even led to the tragic consequences of innocents murdered in Sydney, Colorado, Manchester & Washington. The world’s forever changed for Jews. The 78-year "post-Holocaust honeymoon" is over. Many of us thought that old stories from generations gone by were consigned to the past forever. How wrong we were. "Regular programming" of humanity's long history of poisonous Jew hatred has resumed and it's being spearheaded by Woke "Progressives", Islamic extremists & Neo-N@zis. The greatest disinformation/propaganda campaign in history has been facilitated by Qatar/Muslim Brotherhood, TikTok & shameless podcasters who see how lucrative the Jew hating grift is. Indeed, it’s now obvious how something like the Holocaust could occur when for much of my life it was inconceivable. Above all, I can’t believe what’s happened to Australia. Never in my wildest dreams would I think I’d ever see this beautiful country I was born & raised in become a cesspit of unchecked rabid Jew hatred. My grandparents left Europe after the Holocaust and resettled in Australia to get as far away from the horrors they endured. They loved this country. Australia is widely known as the "lucky country" - it was doubly lucky for my grandparents and their fellow Holocaust survivors. It gave them the chance to rebuild their shattered lives and raise their own families - the ultimate revenge on H1tler and his plans of Jewish extermination. Well, I am glad my dear grandparents are no longer alive to witness what has happened to the country that saved them. They would be heartbroken and absolutely shattered. To think Melbourne once had the biggest Holocaust survivor community in the world outside Israel. And if the current trend of antisemitism in this country doesn't abate, the surge of Australian Jews moving to Israel will continue to grow until Australia eventually becomes "judenrein" - the same country that gave us Sir John Monash, Sir Isaac Isaacs and Sir Zelman Cowan. Jews are among the most patriotic communities in the country - after all, a bigger percentage of the Jewish community fought for Australia in WWI and WWII compared to the general population. In most synagogues I’ve attended, there’s a big prayer for the King hanging on a wall. Yet it seems like this current government is content to trade us in for Australia-hating, anti-West immigrants - all for votes to stay in power.
