This is absolutely incorrect. I have been the Washington Bureau Chief (or Washington Political Editor — previous title) of Breitbart since October 2015. I was a reporter at Breitbart from December 2012 until then. So I’ve been here 14 years basically. I know every in and out of this fight. We did NOT have pool access during Biden which was NOT a decision by the Biden White House but by the WHCA. So it’s actually WORSE than Vance is saying. The media themselves ganged up on us and in a totally underhanded way altered their rules to try to silence us. The WHCA is a corrupt organization and @JacquiHeinrich knows this all and yet does nothing to fix it. Here’s the truth of what happened: We actually got our first hard badge during the end of the Obama administration. The Obama White House was actually very nice to us, and while we had clear political disagreements they were fine to work with and we did great stories from there. We had hired our first White House correspondent then, and he covered the White House and regularly attended press briefings. He also occasionally did pool coverage. It was a huge moment for us. We had the hard badge credentialed White House correspondent up through the beginning of Biden and believe it or not, the Biden White House did allow us into some briefings. Whether they called on us was a different story. Happened occasionally. But we never had hard badge problems actually. To be clear, at some point during Biden Administration, we went separate ways with our then White House correspondent and didn’t refill the role until Trump term 2 so we didn’t have a hard badge correspondent during that time. But that was our decision not Biden White House — who to be clear and I’ve seen some of them talking about this never stripped us of that. But there is a MASSIVE difference between access to the briefing room and briefings and pool access and that’s where the legacy establishment media are so underhanded and dishonest. Up until THIS administration pool access had been solely determined by the WHCA. The WHCA when Trump won the first time colluded with the Senate Press Gallery to change its membership rules — this happened early 2017 — to strip us of our voting membership which we began under the Obama administration. The Senate Press Gallery stripped us of our Capitol credentials based on a lie — that has since been rectified and we have them on the Hill again — and the WHCA stripped us of voting membership, which we had, by changing its rules arbitrarily. The WHCA does NOT allow under these new arbitrary rules any member without voting rights to have POOL ACCESS. Pool is the key — it’s where the President and key members of the administration interact with a smaller group of press daily than the broader entire White House press corps. That’s like when you see the president taking questions in the Oval Office or something. So we were stripped from the pool BY THE REST OF THE MEDIA during TRUMP TERM 1. Biden did not fix this during his term; Trump term 2 HAS FIXED IT, they added new media to the pool and we regularly have our White House correspondent in the pool and he asks great newsworthy questions often of the President, Vice President, and cabinet officials. The WHCA still does not allow people like us to be voting members; it still does not allow people like us to be members of the pool. The ONLY reason we have that access is because the Trump White House has gone out of their way to add the new media components to press coverage and overrode the WHCA to add new media to the pool. So it’s actually way more complicated than what Vance is saying— in fact the truth makes the media look even worse because it was the MEDIA who censored us thereby making all these people whining about what Trump is doing massive hypocrites (as far as I’m concerned for what it’s worth I could care less whether they have press badges and what not but the idea they are crusaders for the First Amendment is ridiculous nonsense) — but what Sam is saying here is absolutely untrue. Because of the WHCA we didn’t have pool access then. So it’s technically not Biden’s fault or Trump fault in term one, but until Trump term 2 the White House didn’t lift a finger to help us when the rest of the media ganged up on us to try to silence us. Because of what @karolineleavitt and her team did in this administration, Trump term 2 is actually genuinely the most transparent administration I’ve covered and that dates back to Obama — I covered both of Obama’s terms, Trump’s first, Biden, and now Trump term 2. All that said, we should all be asking ourselves why a cartel of global corporations— the WHCA is exactly that — is so hellbent on silencing an outlet with approximately just under a hundred journalists with laptops. Why do they hate us so much? Maybe it’s because time and again we continually show them up and beat them to absolutely massive stories. Maybe just maybe these mega corporations like FOX, CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, NYT, WAPO, AP, etc are using their collective corporate power through a corrupt institution to silence the one little guy who regularly kicks their asses in news. So Obama Thunders Down from Olympus The White House Press corps and the liberal media have gone ballistic over President Trump’s recent banning of CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House press room. Apparently Trump had finally had it with their decade-long trail of “fake news” (e.g., CNN on the Steele dossier: the intelligence community had “corroborated all the details.”; MS(NBC): “All the supporting details in Steele's reports are checking out, even the really outrageous ones.”; and Politico (“Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say.”). Or maybe it was Trump’s weariness that CNN and MS never learned from their serial untruth. The former for years put on their news shows the admitted liar (“least most untruthful”) James Clapper; The latter likewise hired the twice-admitted-liar John Brennan (on his demonstrable spying on Senate computers, Brennan thundered under oath: “Nothing could be further from the truth. We wouldn't do that.”) So after witnessing the fake news’s spreading lies about the “walls are closing in on Trump” Mueller Investigation, ginning up the “mostly peaceful” 2020 riots, running with the Jussie Smollett farce, demonizing the Covington Kids, iconizing the assailant Trayvon Martin, and promulgating the “Hands up, Don’t Shoot” Ferguson fable, and on and on—I suppose Trump finally had enough. In reaction and as expected, a sanctimonious Barack Obama now has jetted out from one of his three mansions and into the expulsion controversy. And also as his wont, Obama almost immediately on spec opened himself up to the usual charges of rank hypocrisy and empty, performance-art virtue-signaling. So Obama thundered, “I’m trying to think what would have happened if I had said, ‘You know what, Fox News? You’re out of here.’ It’s unimaginable.” Actually, it’s not “unimaginable”, if Obama would just look into the mirror. So wait a minute. In 2009 the Obama Treasury Department tried to ban a Fox reporter from a press pool interview. Earlier during the 2008 campaign, Obama kicked out New York Post and Washington Times reporters from his campaign plane. But Obama was most notorious not for just excluding politically incorrect reporters but for surveilling and spying on them. Even liberal watchdog foundations blasted Obama in 2012-13 for grabbing the private records of some twenty phone lines used at home and on the job by Associated Press reporters. Most notoriously, it was finally revealed in 2013 that Obama’s State Department secretly had bird-dogged Fox Reporter James Rosen relentlessly— tracking his movements, obtaining a search warrant to examined two days’ worth of his private emails, and getting access to his private phone records. If Obama is still “trying to think what would have happened” when he surveilled and spied on a Fox reporter relentlessly, he can stop—since nothing as usual happened to the always exempt Obama. And Obama did not just at times eject reporters and surveille them. He also threatened to prosecute eight reporters and their sources (more than any administration before or since, including Richard Nixon’s). But he backed down when the AP and Rosen scandals surfaced and cooled down his Inspector Javert alter ego. The hammer/stiletto difference between a loud Trump and a smooth Obama? Trump blows up publicly, rails, and earns furor from “shocked”, sober and judicious journalists” who covet their White House billets—while he also earns the damnation of the liberal legacy media for his antics. But far more egregiously Obama used the powers of the administrative state, secretly and quietly, to surveille, follow, and spy on reporters and their sources, while threatening to prosecute and jail others—and he disguised his vindictiveness by his lofty tone and polished demeanor. As he anticipated, Obama’s victims and the media itself largely kept still, afraid to concede that their messianic “constitutional lawyer” possessed an Orwellian mean streak and was a far greater danger to the First Amendment. Or as the Left taught us, the fundamental threat to our Constitution is when “democracy dies in darkness.” Postscript: Obama also could not resist his “clingers” like demonization of Trump supporters, in the fashion of Hillary’s “deplorables” and “irredeemables”, and Biden’s “garbage”, “chumps”, “semi-fascists”, and “dregs”. So he also blasted not just Trump for the expulsions, but returned to his accustomed stereotype putdown of Neanderthal-like Trump supporters who are supposedly under-developed (e.g., “what that means is that we’ve have not developed the kind of understanding of what democracy requires”): “If you have a certain cohort, let's call it 30 to 35 percent of the country right now, which thinks that's okay, well, what that means is we have not developed the kind of understanding of what democracy requires, and we've got to shore that back up.” I wonder how Obama would do that shoring up of a third of America? Surveilling, tracking, and spying on them? Note finally, that even Hillary’s deplorables were only half of Trump’s half of the nation, “You could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables”) whereas Obama writes off a third of the entire country!

Let me tell you my thoughts on this..... @POTUS Is a radical disruptor. And there is a lot that needs disrupting, dismantling and rewiring right now. The era of the Establishment Media monopolies with their self-appointed majesty are over. Anyone with a camera and an ability to listen, speak, read, analyse & assess can now deliver accurate / opinionated / impartial content - there is a lot out there and you can choose what style you want to consume. This is a reckoning and i wish the uk would do something similar. Remember, @GBNEWS is regularly excluded from govt rounds because the dusty old decision-makers don't like us. The big 4 or 5 broadcasters in the usa do not have a monopoly on truth - far from it. I've sat in the briefing room and watched @karolineleavitt deliver facts and clear messaging that is often completely re-interpreted and rewritten for a particular audience. No President is perfect. No man is beyond reproach. But the extent to which Trump is always the punchline to the joke is extreme and TDS totally overshadows the work this government is trying to do to improve lives and restore common- sense values to a declining west: peace through strength, making America healthy, reducing taxes and so on.. Also - think harder - whilst the media is obsessing about itself, they are not reporting anything else well. This is what Trump does when he is plotting and planning. It takes the heat off whatever his team are doing behind the scenes. The next 36 hours at UNGA is huge: the biggest diplomatic speed-dating exercise of the year as Europe seems intent on pushing for war with Russia. Arguably, Trump is the only person who can stop young british men and women being sent to die. The media has walked straight into a well-laid strategy. Nobody plays this game better than POTUS and they all fell for it.
