40 broodmares age 16 and older are cataloged for the 2026 Keeneland November Sale, and 23 are in Book 5. Visibility is protection. mareworthy.com/news-and-reso… With more than half in the final book, Mareworthy is working to keep these mares visible and help buyers plan for their retirement. We want their names to reach former owners, breeders, trainers, caregivers, and fans who may recognize a mare they remember and want to be part of her future. We’re also making a commitment: Mareworthy will guarantee a retirement spot for any of the six cataloged mares age 18 and older after her foal is weaned in 2027. Interested buyers should reach out to discuss retirement planning before purchasing. Read the article, look through the full watchlist, and share it with someone who might recognize a name. A connection made today could help a mare find a home that plans for her tomorrow. Contact info@mareworthy.com if you recognize a mare, are considering purchasing her, or can help with her future. #mareworthy #mareworthycharities #keeneland

Croque Monsieur (GB) From winning at Chelmsford for William Haggas, to trailing last at Delta Downs for 5k, to… this.
🚨‼🚨‼🚨‼🚨‼🚨‼🚨🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘👉 Poster 09-29-26. Several Thoroughbreds still needing help and we cannot help them as our moratorium is still in place. There is a new horse on this poster that was born in Great Britain. No horses are safe no matter where they were born. These horses would not be ending up at these lots if the industry would put forth the proper funding and infrastructure to protect them better and circumvent lower level auctions. Until that is put in place and the industry puts the horses first, they cannot claim how much they love the horses and how much they have done for them. There are no more excuses. Action is needed now. 👉Note: These are only the Thoroughbreds we are currently aware of. Furthermore, we have no affiliation with the lots. @jockeyclub @BreedersCup @keenelandracing @theTDN @PastTheWire @KYTbred @RepoleStable @PatCummingsNTA @westlakeracing @ThoroughbredRA @EponaInitiative @KateMaddenSC @UKRacingInfo

❤❤ ❤Remember Ben's Florida Lady aka Benna that we rescued from the Mclean, TX lot in 2025? She came in with 5 other mares that were all in horrific condition. It took quite awhile to get Benna back to health but she made it and is doing well today. The gray hairs are showing on her face and neck but make no mistake she is the boss. She loves her RF Retiree companions Romas Spirit and Broadway Bertie. The video is of Romy and Bertie feeling their oats recently. We rescued all of them in the past from going to slaughter. Romy and Bertie were in bad shape when rescued too and Bertie was is even worse shape than Benna. None of them will ever know fear, hunger, thirst or uncertainty again. Every one of these horses served the industry but the industry did not save them. We did! @jockeyclub @BreedersCup @KYTbred @keenelandracing @theTDN @PastTheWire @ThoroughbredRA @EponaInitiative @KateMaddenSC @RepoleStable @PatCummingsNTA @westlakeracing

It’s Saturday-hay! Can you help?
"The water is your friend… you don't have to fight the water, just share the same spirit as the water and it will help you move." ~Alexandr Popov Tyler (‘26 by Laurie’s Rocket)… He was helping me today… of course it was a chore that really benefitted him so he was so happy to oblige. And I was happy to hang out with him a bit. He loves the bubbles so much… And I adore him… So today is Satur-hay! We are launching our October hay fundraiser and this month we are tacking on $600 because we have to clean out the old hay that they didn’t eat that we haven’t been able to clean up all summer because of the drought and burn ban. We couldn’t risk using the farm machines and potentially spark a fire, we have to keep the horses safe. So we’re going to rent a dumpster and load all the old hay into that and a weekly rental is $600 (well, $585). It’s supposed to rain this week (thank you Lord!) and we hope the burn ban will be lifted so we can take care of the other burn pile (how very Texas, right?) We’d like to pay for hay and have it delivered before the storms arrive sometime on Wednesday. We have already received $227 (thank you Jana, Laurie, Karen and Martha) so we’ve got $6,373 left to go! Will you help us feed these critters their hay next month? We are always grateful for any help… Donation links below ⬇️: (thank you!) Venmo: @TheBridge-Sanctuary PayPal: thebridgeintx@gmail.com CashApp: $redransom Zelle: (626) 676-2556 Direct link: paypal.com/paypalme/thebridg… I am going to try to include our Amazon wish list when I share the horses, so here it is: Amazon wish list: amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/23… #rescue #Texas #ottb #ForgottenToForever

"The September gross, which surpassed the $500-million mark for the first time a year ago, improved again in 2026 when 2,856 yearlings grossed $536,737,900.” ~The TDN Sometimes I am speechless… Five hundred million dollars spent on horses in less than two weeks and I’m over here begging for .0000132 percent to feed the residents here every month, the ones the industry pretends they aren’t responsible for, most of which had second or even third careers already. Through a drought. With a crappy economy and donations not even half of what they were a year ago. This doesn’t include feed, vet, farrier and miscellaneous things we always need. All rescues are struggling, some are even closing, but not all take in horses from a billion-dollar industry. Someone make it make sense! I swear some days I just want to cry… at least they don’t know the industry they gave their lives to doesn’t give a shit about them. Today we have received $150 (thank you Katherine and Patty) so we’ve got $6,223 left to go. Will you help us feed these critters their hay next month? We are always grateful for any help… Donation links below ⬇️: (thank you!) 🚨🚨 AMERICAN RACING IS BURNING AND OUR SO-CALLED “LEADERS” ARE PACKING FOR PARIS. 🚨🚨 MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, IS PARIS, FRANCE. 🇫🇷 Here we go again. ANOTHER INTERNATIONAL BOONDOGGLE WHILE AMERICAN RACING IS IN CRISIS AT HOME. Everett Dobson, Chairman of The Jockey Club. Jim “MIA” Gagliano, President & COO of The Jockey Club. Both are scheduled to appear at the 60th International Conference of Horseracing Authorities in Paris on October 5. American racing is facing major questions about HISA, aftercare, costs, transparency, due process and leadership. Yet apparently there’s always time for another overseas conference. THE 99% IS DEMANDING ANSWERS. THE 1% IS HEADING TO PARIS. 🇫🇷 Everett and Jim…WHO IS PAYING FOR THIS TRIP? Airfare? Hotels? Meals? How many executives are going? What’s the total bill? We’ve watched industry executives travel to Ascot, France, Japan and beyond while problems continue piling up here at home. At what point do these international meetings start looking less like solutions and more like BOONDOGGLES FOR AN INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP CLASS THAT WON’T FIX ITS OWN HOUSE? Enough conferences. Enough executive meetings. Enough talking to each other. COME HOME AND TALK TO THE PEOPLE PAYING THE BILLS. The horses are here. The backside workers are here. The owners and trainers are here. The aftercare organizations are here. THE PROBLEMS ARE HERE. And that’s exactly why we keep speaking up. ❤️ WE LOVE OUR SPORT. We love it enough to demand better. We love it enough to ask uncomfortable questions. And we love it enough to fight for the horses and people who actually make this industry possible. 🇺🇸 FIX THE MESS AT HOME. PARIS CAN WAIT. THE 99% IS WATCHING AND WE’RE NOT GOING AWAY. @jockeyclub ifhaonline.org/default.asp?s…

“Thousands of young horses just moved through the Keeneland September Sale and into the next chapter of this industry. Yet we STILL do not have the permanent, industry-wide aftercare funding system our horses deserve. Think about that. We can generate hundreds of millions of dollars in sales. We can celebrate record prices. We can find millions for executives, consultants, lawyers and bureaucracy. But when it comes to permanently funding the future of the horses that MAKE THIS ENTIRE INDUSTRY POSSIBLE, we’re still waiting.”
🚨SILENCE IS NOT LEADERSHIP. STEP UP OR STEP ASIDE.🚨 Mike Repole @RepoleStable has been demanding change in this industry for years. Then the 99% found its voice. And now that voice is getting louder. Permanent, meaningful funding for AFTERCARE. A real plan to HELP SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA RACING. Fairness and transparency at SALES. Accountability. Lower costs. A stronger voice for OWNERS, HORSEMEN, AFTERCARE ORGANIZATIONS and the people who actually fund this sport. And what do we hear from the people running our industry? SILENCE. Meanwhile, HISA, The Jockey Club and now Keeneland seem to spend more time dealing with self-caused controversies and investigating problems within their own walls while confidence in our institutions continues to erode. You cannot investigate your way out of a leadership crisis. Thousands of young horses just moved through the Keeneland September Sale and into the next chapter of this industry. Yet we STILL do not have the permanent, industry-wide aftercare funding system our horses deserve. Think about that. We can generate hundreds of millions of dollars in sales. We can celebrate record prices. We can find millions for executives, consultants, lawyers and bureaucracy. But when it comes to permanently funding the future of the horses that MAKE THIS ENTIRE INDUSTRY POSSIBLE, we’re still waiting. ENOUGH. For years, Mike Repole stood up, asked the uncomfortable questions and challenged an establishment that didn’t want to hear them. Now the 99% is standing with him. The questions aren’t going away. The pressure isn’t going away. And the demand for change isn’t going away. So to the people occupying the leadership chairs at HISA, The Jockey Club, Keeneland, Breeders’ Cup, NTRA and every other major institution: LEAD. Bring people together. Fund permanent aftercare. Help save Southern California racing. Fix the sales system. Restore transparency. Listen to the people paying the bills. And start making decisions for the future of the SPORT instead of protecting the institutions of the past. If you aren’t willing to lead the change this industry desperately needs… STEP ASIDE AND LET SOMEONE ELSE DO IT. Mike Repole started asking the questions long before the 99% became a force. Now there are a hell of a lot more of us asking them. We love our sport. We love our horses. And silence is no longer an acceptable answer. @jockeyclub @BreedersCup @hisa_us @NTRA @keenelandsales @keeneland
