On the Iran war's first day, Lockheed Martin PrSM missiles burst over a sports hall in Lamerd, killing at least 21 people, seven of them children. In September, a UN fact-finding mission found reasonable grounds to believe the strike was the war crime of an indiscriminate attack, because of the weapon itself. Since Lamerd, Lockheed has announced it will quadruple PrSM production, won an $8.4bn contract increase and a $1.2bn award for the next version, and signed a rocket-motor deal to speed up output. This week, CEO Jim Taiclet called missile demand "permanent" from the Texas plant that supplies the PrSM. A UN war-crime finding that rests on the weapon's design is not a matter for the Pentagon alone. It reaches the company that designed the missile, marketed it, and is now multiplying it. Under the UN Guiding Principles, a business that learns its product is linked to grave harm must assess that harm, act to prevent it from recurring, and account publicly for what it has done. Expanding production is not among the recognised responses. Lockheed has published no review of Lamerd. It has not disclosed the lethal radius, which Airwars found to be about three times what its promotional material implied. It has not answered journalists' questions. What it has done is declare the demand permanent. Knowledge is what turns a supplier into a participant. The suppliers of Zyklon B were tried in Hamburg in 1946. Frans van Anraat was convicted in the Netherlands for supplying chemicals to Saddam's Iraq. In both cases, the crime lay in continuing to supply after learning how the product was used. Lockheed cannot say it did not know. The New York Times, the BBC, AP, Airwars and the UN have all put Lamerd on the record. Every contract signed and every capacity increase announced since then was made with that record in full view. Responsibility does not stop at the company. Institutional investors have their own duties under the Guiding Principles and the OECD Guidelines. Any fund holding Lockheed stock now holds a company whose flagship strike missile sits at the centre of a UN war-crime finding, with no remediation in sight. On Oct 22, Taiclet and CFO Evan Scott take questions on @LockheedMartin's Q3 results. Analysts should not let the call pass without asking: Has Lockheed conducted any review of what the PrSM did in Lamerd? Did it give the Army the true lethal radius before the missile was fielded? Does it treat the UN finding as a material risk that must be disclosed to shareholders? Will it suspend PrSM expansion until an independent investigation is complete? If not, on what basis has it decided that the Lamerd record has no bearing on how many more it builds? Taiclet says the demand is permanent. So is the record. Every PrSM leaving the line from now on is built with full knowledge of what the first ones did in Lamerd. @MorganLBrennan @AzmatZahra @airwars @defense_news @ValerieInsinna @AP @commondreams @RStatecraft @DropSiteNews @TuckerCarlson @MaxBlumenthal @TheGrayzoneNews @aaronjmate @ggreenwald @ryangrim @jeremyscahill @kenklippenstein @tparsi @ComicDaveSmith @scotthortonshow @Judgenap @DougAMacgregor @RealScottRitter @esaagar @krystalball @breakingpoints @jimmy_dore @mehdirhasan @jeffdachis @IRIMFA_SPOX
Asked about the Iran War's effect on defense stocks, Lockheed Martin CEO says: "Investors need to know and understand that this demand is not fleeting — it's permanent."

David Albright's first claim about the MOAB is that it is "like a small nuke." The last is that its blast "would be on the surface" and nearby communities "would be unlikely to be affected." Between those two sentences, a weapon he compares to a nuclear bomb becomes a tool for sealing tunnel doors. The 21,600-pound bomb has been used in combat once, on ISIS caves in a remote Afghan valley. Using it on a country's infrastructure would be a first, and posts like this exist to make that first feel routine. "Worth trying, if there is one to spare," he writes, as if it were leftover stock. He deliberately tells only half the story. According to CNN, the plans envisage the MOAB against Iran's energy infrastructure as well as its nuclear sites. Albright focuses on the target he can frame as a technical problem and stays silent on the one that exposes the criminality. Power stations are civilian objects. Most of Iran's sit near its cities and keep hospitals, water pumps and medicine storage running. Destroying them with a bomb CNN says can devastate nine city blocks would be a war crime under Additional Protocol I, the Rome Statute and the US War Crimes Act. Every expert who presents the MOAB as a clever, contained option at Pickaxe makes it easier to use the same bomb on the edge of a city of millions. Pickaxe is no lawful target either. IAEA member states have resolved that any attack on, or threat against, peaceful nuclear facilities, including those under construction, violates the UN Charter and international law. The Security Council condemned Israel's 1981 strike on Osirak as a violation of the Charter. A think tank's satellite images cannot make it a lawful target. Albright skips the law entirely. And what does he want it to achieve? He admits the underground halls "would remain unknown." The plan is to blast the entrances shut, watch them from orbit, and treat any attempt to reopen them as an "observable change requiring action." That is bombing without end. His model is Natanz and Isfahan, where no one has known for months what is happening inside because the bombing ended the inspections. His claim that Pickaxe is "isolated" and its neighbours safe is false. The most exposed are those at the site: engineers, workers, guards, mostly civilians. Washington and Israel say Iran may have moved enriched uranium into Pickaxe. If so, a massive blast is no surface event. Uranium hexafluoride reacts with moist air to form hydrofluoric acid, and contamination goes where the wind goes. Officials quoted by CNN doubt the MOAB can even pierce Pickaxe's granite, and call it a "psychological tool" for a symbolic win. A symbolic win is not a military advantage, and only a concrete one can be weighed against civilian lives. This is when the law demands restraint. It does not ask whether harm is "unlikely" to a commentator studying satellite photos. It requires planners to verify targets and effects, choose means that spare civilians, and call off attacks expected to cause excessive harm. In doubt, the presumption favours the civilian. Albright turns it upside down. Nor has he the standing to judge. He is a physicist running a think tank, not a weapons-effects engineer, targeting officer or lawyer, and has no data on who lives or works around that mountain. He sounds surer about this bomb than the officials who would drop it. We have seen this before. In 2002, John Yoo drafted memos defining torture so narrowly that waterboarding could pass. He never touched a prisoner; he supplied the respectable rationale others cited. Albright's vocabulary, "monitored condition," "observable change requiring action," "worth trying," does the same job. If this bomb is used and people die, those who ordered it will bear the legal responsibility. But Albright has put his name behind it, waved away the risk to human life with no basis, and lent his reputation to a step that makes the next, worse use easier. That makes him complicit in whatever follows.
According to @CNN, Trump is considering using MOABs against Pickaxe nuclear site. I would not be dismissive of the idea as CSIS expert was on Thursday’s Erin Burnett. The rationale of using a MOAB is that the blast is so violent that it can overcome typical blast traps of tunnel entrances. It is like a small nuke; it is difficult to engineer entrances to withstand that level of a blast. The goal may be the confirmed closure of known access routes at Pickaxe, creating a monitored condition. Reopening is an observable change requiring action. That can be valuable even when the condition of the underground chambers would remain unknown. Moreover, MOABs would destroy surface support structures and utilities. Monitored closure, with lack of information about activities inside, has been the situation for months at Esfahan Mtn complex and the underground Natanz enrichment plant. So MOABs could put Pickaxe in the same condition as the other two nuclear sites. Note: Fordow was destroyed by earth penetrators, GBU-57s, reaching the underground halls via crashing through ventilation systems. While we have discovered probable ventilation shafts at Pickaxe, it is uncertain how they reach the main underground halls. But a MOAB on a ventilation shaft may be worth trying, if there is one to spare. The huge blast would be on the surface. Pickaxe is an isolated site, so neighboring communities would be unlikely to be affected by the blast.

Does Parsi have any information that no one els know by now or he is trying to change the story?
Yes, more oil is flowing through the Strait. And here’s why Iran may want it that way Michelle Brohard, head of policy and geopolitical risk at Kpler, speculated in a recent interview with energy analyst Rory Johnston (@commoditycontext) that the reason why more crude is getting through the Strait of Hormuz may be because some countries are paying Iran a toll, possibly up to 20% of the value of each cargo. I cannot verify whether this is true or not, but I have heard directly from the Iranian side that certain countries in the GCC have struck deals with Iran to allow their oil to get out, and that this is the main reason why more traffic is flowing rather than the Trump administration’s military efforts. “Whatever flows through the Strait, it’s because we are allowing it to flow,” I have been told. One can dismiss the Iranian account as a desperate effort to claim control over a situation that, on the surface, is moving against Iranian interests. But there may also be a logic that explains why Iran would not only allow more oil to flow, but also a narrative in the West that claims Tehran has lost the battle over the Strait.
