Floridians, please join me in requesting @GovRonDeSantis to call a special legislative session and support a statewide bill banning or seriously restricting ALPR surveillance systems such as Flock and those like it. Floridians should not have to wait until March 2027 to address this statewide through the regular legislative session. Florida’s current restrictions on state roads and highways are a great start, but they leave a huge gap that allows municipalities, counties, and private operators to continue indiscriminately tracking the movements of free Floridians - treating everyone as a potential suspect and raising serious, legitimate concerns about privacy, misuse, wrongful identification, and violations of our constitutional rights. A statewide law should ban or strictly regulate ALPR systems, limit data collection and retention, require judicial warrants or documented justification for searches, and impose meaningful accountability for misuse or abuse. Governor, please take action on this before your term ends. Thank you for considering this important request! @RonDeSantis
