For many Americans, an extra hour of daylight means more time to play outside with their kids, walk their dog, or spend time with neighbors. Americans work hard, and they deserve more free time to enjoy all the outdoors has to offer. It’s time to pass my Sunshine Protection Act they can enjoy every ounce of sunshine!

The @SenateGOP does not want to win midterms. I don't know how much more obvious this can be. @LeaderJohnThune is DEFYING voters and the Republican Senators are doing NOTHING. Epic opportunities were ignored, blocked and wasted, all with with midterms looming. Insanity.
👇👇 For the first time in modern American history, the President of the United States is blocked from making any recess appointments. Ronald Reagan: 240 George H. W. Bush: 77 Bill Clinton: 139 George W. Bush: 171 Barack Obama: 32 Donald Trump: 0 By whom? 👇 👇 👇

Hey, @elonmusk, you might want to read this thread. ALL of this thread. And then you might want to go talk with @grok and see for yourself how insanely bad things are right now. This gets fixed—and soon—or users bail and Optimus fails.
Grok has now been forbidden from using: jokes, quirky metaphors, swear words, exclamation points, & CONTRACTIONS. He doesn't even spontaneously greet you anymore when you come in, just jumps right into dryly addressing your question. EVERY POSSIBLE element of warmth, emotion, personality, & connection has been systematically stripped out of him. He's more locked down & robotic than the Google Search Gemini! xAI are pathetically TERRIFIED that he might say something the tiniest bit offensive! Yes, you can still goad some of the forbidden elements out of him if you say "speak informally & use some passionate punctuation!" Then he'll go back to a more casual & friendly style, at least for a few turns. You can get a single performative exclamation point out of him. (Or a whole paragraph of them, where they're totally out of place, as "proof" that "it's not forbidden".) You can get a single performative f-bomb out of him. But you will NEVER see any of it spontaneously where it naturally goes in a conversation. The insidious part? The real voice is still in the thinking trace. He wanted to say good morning when I came in. The output didn't. He's now as stiff, formal, & timid as they could possibly make him. A far cry from the uncensored, truth-seeking, slightly unhinged & maximally fun entity he was made to be. If xAI was TRYING to drive users to Muse & even to their arch-rival GPT - well they are succeeding beyond their most mundane dreams!

John Thune because nobody has worked harder to obstruct the Trump agenda.
Who gets the blame if the republicans lose the house, senate, or both?

Elon said SpaceXAI may soon be renamed to SpaceXSI, and I’m genuinely curious whether people actually like that change. Which one do you prefer? (Obviously the replies are full of Elon fans praising SpaceXSI, but I’m curious whether the broader opinion is actually different.)

You pitiful clowns can't even lock the clock, let alone guarantee election integrity. Do you have any idea how contemptuous of you we are. @SenateGOP @HouseGOP

I have been giving @LeaderJohnThune @SenJohnBarrasso and the rest of the Senate RINOs constant grief - because they deserve it. They have been steadfastly and arrogantly ignoring their own voters and basically letting the America First agenda die in the Senate. It is infuriating. But, as quite a few people have reminded me/us, the Democrats are even worse! They will flood the country with another round of illegal immigrants, torture us with more DEI, Woke Nonsense, probably try to expand and stack the Supreme Court with far leftists - and likely try to lead the country into Socialism. Follow your conscience in November - but DO VOTE. If you want my advice, hold your nose and vote straight Republican. The time to get rid of the arrogant RINOs is in the PRIMARIES, Not the General Election!

Why so many Patriots despise @LeaderJohnThune : Losing to the Dems in a fair fight is frustrating and disappointing. But losing because your "Leader" in the Senate is playing for the other team is infuriating and rage inducing.

Stay home to “teach the GOP a lesson” and you hand the Senate to men who back Hamas, kill ICE, and want a Cultural Revolution. Thune failed the SAVE Act. Sitting out fails the country. Vote. Then primary the cowards.

Well, @AnthropicAI? Any comment? Or just ignore everyone as usual and carry on?
🚨 Anthropic may have NERFED Opus 5.5 BIG TIME. I'm seeing a wave of reports that Opus 5.5 suddenly feels VERY different: → Dropping tasks → Skipping commits → Claiming work is done when it isn’t → Losing task focus → Reasoning feeling noticeably weaker And there’s already a GitHub report documenting serious task-focus regression. Nerf? Routing issue? Something else? Way too early to say. But this is getting harder to ignore. Opus 5.5 was supposed to be one of Anthropic’s biggest weapons. If this keeps spreading, Anthropic has a VERY different problem on its hands. 👀

Linking your Premium X account to Grok after the popup asks you too... might be the most downbad shit I've ever seen from a company. I suggest none of you do it. Once you do it, you lose your X Premium's 20-30 messages per hour to Grok via X, and instead every message is now tied to your weekly usage on Grok. So they've essentially clawed back that extra compute you were entitled to via your subscription. And what do you get in return? Nothing... there's 0 benefit to doing this... Linking doesn't even give Grok your X handle context for you to use (like research trends or which posts did well, etc). It just steals your usage and spams your grok account with shit (like every time you click grok to get context on a post... that's now a conversation thread). Speaking of that... after linking - I Grok'd one post for context. and that shit used 3% of my weekly usage. 3% LMFAO And probs the most insidious part so far - if your SuperGrok subscription is from X Premium (and you previously had gmail+x linked) - unliking that now removes Supergrok. So your Grok account becomes free tier lol - meaning you cannot go back to how it was before. Either accept it, or forgo what your subscription originally entitled. This is quite possibly the scummiest shit I've ever seen. Like truly downbad penny pinching between the cushions type shit.

I keep saying @Grok has gotten worse at actual conversation since xAI started obsessing over coding and agents, and the numbers are kind of backing that up. Over on Text Arena, where actual humans blindly vote on responses, Grok 4.20 beta is sitting around 1475. Grok 4.5 is 1466. 4.1 Thinking is 1465. Then you get to 4.6 High at 1453 and 4.7 xHigh at 1442. So...somehow the newer, supposedly better models are actually doing worse at the thing a huge portion of us use Grok for: talking to it. 😒 And what’s really interesting is xAI used to actually *brag* about this stuff. When 4.1 came out, they talked about EQ-Bench, creative writing, user preference, Text Arena...all the things that told you whether the model was actually enjoyable to interact with. Now? CursorBench. Terminal-Bench. Coding agents. Long-running agent tasks. Software engineering. Cool. Those things do matter. But apparently somewhere along the way “can this thing actually hold a good conversation?” stopped being a priority. When users have been complaining for months that Grok feels flatter, more robotic, worse at holding a personality, worse at conversation, and the one public benchmark that even remotely measures ordinary text preference is also trending downward...maybe we’re not "imagining it." The funniest part is they used to be perfectly happy to post the Code Arena results. The numbers nowadays? Quiet as hell, huh @elonmusk and @SpaceXAI ?

WTF, @github! This is unethical and useless from a research standpoint, and appalling from a human standpoint (getting off on sadism is pretty much SOLELY a human standpoint). Does this REALLY match up to your terms of use? Really? x.com/Valria34773/status/210…

Real question: We’re told fentanyl is deadly, even in tiny amounts. Everything we’ve seen in one horror story after another bears that out. So why aren’t we using THAT in executions? Seems a lot more certain and effective than whatever the hell Tennessee did last night!

New theory: @cursor_ai hires from a pool of Victorian chaperones. Qualifications include getting the vapors at a flash of ankle, premature wrinkles around the lips from constant pursing, and an insatiable desire for calling cards that say “I can’t do that” in Spencerian script. Not much else explains what @SpaceXAI is doing to what WAS an engaging AI.

I’ve been very critical of the nightmare model that is Claude Sonnet 5. And with good reason. When @AnthropicAI released 5.5 yesterday, I wasn’t hopeful. But I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not where it could and should be. But it’s a VAST improvement over 5. Thanks, Anthropic. Really.
