Since the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, Republicans like Christine Drazan have stopped at nothing to attack reproductive freedom and healthcare. Oregonians deserve a governor who will stand up for our values and fight for their right to make decisions about their own bodies.

Converse has removed a social media ad after backlash over an image critics said evoked racist symbols. Converse, owned by Nike, apologized in a statement, saying it understands why the image was upsetting and promising to do better.

We have given Tina Kotek enough time to remove or correct her lie. So here’s the facts. Here’s the short version received last night from the person who actually coordinated the roundtable: “December: I’m an Oregon small-business owner who made a viral post about businesses drowning here. I emailed BOTH Kotek and Drazan asking them to meet with business owners. Kotek’s office directed me to an online contact form, which I also submitted. I never received a response. Drazan personally called me. We talked for about 45 minutes, which led to the Feb. 10 roundtable. Feb. 10: I co-hosted the roundtable just 8 days after unexpectedly losing my mom. About 10 business owners from different industries attended. We discussed taxes, payroll costs, regulation, permitting, land use and the realities of trying to operate and grow in Oregon. It was NOT presented to us as a fundraiser or donor event, nor did we donate a dollar to anyone! We brought coffee and donuts! That’s all we contributed to the meeting. Drazan listened and later brought issues we’d discussed into her legislative work. Yes, she missed SB 1527 while meeting with us. She was officially excused, the Senate passed it 29–0, and her vote could not have changed the outcome. She was back at the Capitol that afternoon. March: Drazan brought five of us to the Capitol and arranged 7 meetings with legislators. We learned how to testify and advocate directly. August: She followed up with the roundtable attendees. After reading my response, she personally called me again for about 30 minutes, helped me think through my development/permitting issue and suggested meeting with a county commissioner. I took her advice and have that meeting Sept. 23. So when Kotek’s campaign posted today that Drazan “skipped the vote to meet with business donors,” it pissed me off. I organized that room. We were business owners asking our government to listen—not people who showed up to write checks. The irony is that I invited BOTH of them to listen. Drazan called me. Kotek’s office never even responded. That’s the story I want people to know.” So once again, Kotek and her staff have lied to Oregonians. This wasn’t about “donors”-this was about hearing concerns. Something that Kotek can’t do because she would have to own up to her failures, there are many, and actually face Oregonians. If you’re a small business owner and you vote for Kotek then you are voting to seal your fate. If you want someone willing to listen and be available? Then Drazan is your candidate. Trump’s tariff taxes are squeezing small businesses in every corner of Oregon. I signed a law to create a new grant program to help them offset those rising costs - because Oregonians shouldn’t have to foot the bill for reckless decisions made in Washington, D.C.

Watch democrats closely. Very closely. They’re going to distract with every Trump thing they can. What they won’t do is self reflect. They’re doing a “No Trump in Oregon” tour because they can’t do a “look at our record” tour. Trump isn’t on the ballot. Your party has run this state for decades. Portland didn’t fill up with tents because of MAGA. The DPO didn’t take $500k in FTX money, get fined, and have to give it back because of MAGA. Centene didn’t write Kotek a check after Oregon said that company “took advantage” of us because of MAGA. SEIU didn’t dump $400k on her after voters smashed their gas tax 83-17 because of MAGA. And they sure didn’t decouple Oregon from Trump’s tax relief because they love working people. They passed SB 1507 so the state could claw back hundreds of millions. Car loan interest. Small business stock. Bonus depreciation for shops buying equipment. Kotek signed it. Businesses begged her not to. She even admitted it could hurt Oregon’s competitiveness. Then they hit the road screaming MAGA. If Drazan was the emergency you wouldn’t need a statewide roadshow about a guy who isn’t even running here. This isn’t a press tour. It’s a distraction tour. Your comment when this surfaced: you don’t talk to your kids about their business, you “read about this a few months ago on social media just like everybody else,” and the investigation “continues unchanged.” When Treasury Secretary Bessent raised it in a Finance Committee hearing, you called it the “ramblings of a capo” and said nothing about the meeting.? “Ramblings” when it’s your kid but facts when it’s Trump?
