After I got Covid in my 30s & almost died, I rapidly learned those who spoke out would be very unpopular & escorted out of polite society. Since I am deeply moral, I did not care. I accepted the Unpopular Conspiracy Theorist label, & I kept going, losing relationships as I went. People DON’T WANT to hear the truth. They want to be fed pleasant lies until their premature deaths, & then they want to leave this Earth believing it was unpreventable & all part of God’s Great Plan. Governments, media, & The Establishment are cheerfully accommodating them. We are locked in a prolonged battle between the people who long for truth & the people who long for lies. The Liars & Everything is Finers have been winning for years. We don’t actually have to live like this.

Imagine almost dying from a brand new virus, & now you live with permanent organ damage & your quality of life in your prime is so bad you don’t fear death whatsoever & expect it to arrive years before you EVER qualify for Medicare. So you spend years trying to warn people their kids are going to end up disabled/dead, & we’re *all* going to die prematurely, & people call you A MONSTER. You are the problem, not the virus. The problem isn’t the record disability/death, the problem is talking about it. So then you watch everyone you know get sick, many die, & then everyone gets cancer. You’re still here pointing to the original threat that never went away, & people get EVEN ANGRIER. They lash out at you & call you every name in the book. They curse your children, tell you you’re a worthless Useless Eater & have no business being alive or freely speaking. It’s a lot like getting kicked in the face. LIVING IN TRUTH is worth it. Remaining kind & calm as people crash out is worth it. Teaching our children how to survive The New Normal & being good examples is worth it. There are no do-overs.

Truth is terrorism now. Everything hurts. My doctor/scientist friends & their families, who spent years gaslighting me as I suffered in Covid Hell so they wouldn’t feel so bad about living normally, are now sicker than I am. Everyone is nervously lying, pretending & performing, making excuses, & lashing out at the systems thinkers. Everything is connected, & so are we all. If we don’t immediately course correct, eventually our human body containers will be too sick to hold our souls. Covid already took our health/immune systems, next we are going to lose antibiotics, clean air/water/food, reproduction, & our futures. Since Truth is Terrorism & we are only allowed to worship billionaires/corporations & to chase endless profits, there will be no way to stop any of it.

This post got 54k likes. I enjoyed extremely high engagement until around 2023-2024, when the disabled/public health communities were silenced. These changes occurred pre-Elon. It was a bipartisan endeavor. They don’t want the public to know why everyone is sick & dying.
A “mild” case of Covid completely destroyed my life. To this day, I have not been hospitalized. Hearing media describe breakthrough cases as “mild” is HIGHLY OFFENSIVE. What part of “LongCovid is disabling” don’t people understand? How can we just allow everyone to get infected?

Agreed! I’ve lost all of my immediate family and most of my friends because of my covid mitigations. I mourn these lost relationships, but don’t regret the decision. They won’t be there for me if I REALLY need them, so it’s better that they are no longer in my life.

I am so sorry. In times like these, you quickly figure out who is real. I also came to accept I know a lot of cowards.

I genuinely wish things were different for us cautious folks, my dad's nephew's wedding is next month, and I'd give anything to go without fear of catching a disabiling chronic illness causing virus

Religion brainwashed so many human beings into abandoning truth, reality and their responsibilities here on Earth, focused instead on an imaginary sky daddy who would magically take care of them in the “afterlife” for eternity, regardless.

Hi from France 🇫🇷👋 Laura. You may have lost some relationships but you also won some new ones by daring speak the truth and stand by your convictions (which I truly and sincerely admire). Thanks for your posts, it makes me feel a little less lonely and I often (if not always) find myself agreeing with you. Keep voicing an unpopular yet much needed TRUTH! Take care.💪☺️

This is why I’m waiting them out. I have high level of justice sensitivity, but I’ve retreated to making small steps forward via helpful politicians. Half my DNA comes from sociopathic narcissist which kicks in when I’m threatened or have run out of patience.

The evils of human greed further enabled by capitalism and encouraged by our own government have silenced so many to tell the truth about COVID-19 in the name of production and $$$. They censorship of truth just makes the media complicit in the cover-up. It makes me very sad.

Thank you for your courage. You do inspire the rest of us to persevere, despite the headwinds. I’m lucky to live in a society that doesn’t give two shits either way. Which is a blessing. I’m in the very small minority that take Covid mitigations seriously, but nobody cares, lol.

TYVM. This resonates deeply, brought water to my eyes—the hunger for truth & a moral life. I learned the hard way that "People DON’T WANT to hear the truth" regarding all of our worst crises—COVlD, climate, coup—all ongoing. People only become angrier when our warnings come true.

Unless people band together and demand change esp in IAQ, we will continue to live like this. The U.S. has > billions in nonprofit foundations. Anyone can check Charity Navigator, so $ isn’t the issue but education of the populace & will is.

I think that there is an element of wishful thinking in people's disregard of the persistent risks of long COVID, but also that it is not the only one.

It's hard, but I usually try to make people understand that I am not some kind of conspiracy theorist by comparing the current situation to the precedent of the misinformation about tobacco risks, and showing scientific sources

Have you read " Life of Pi" by Yann Martel? Interesting fiction on the choices people make and what they choose to make sense of life and it's challenges. It's a beautiful story and a gorgeous movie too.

Hi Laura. Hugs and blessings. Yesterday, I asked my Dr why he didn’t mask. It’s a deeply uncomfortable question and I saw he was uncomfortable with it, but I explained that if he is able to tell me hard truths about diabetes, I would gently challenge him with the hard truths about Covid. I’ll be sending him Mike Hoeger’s x profile so he can see the data for himself. One person at a time.

I almost always agree with everything you have posted. It is a dark world we live in. Where I temper it, perhaps in a more cowardly way, is with friends and family that I don't want to lose. This world is isolating enough. It would be good to zoom with you if you ever want.

I've purposely isolated myself from family & friends because I can't deal with their collective lack of empathy and intelligence. It takes ONE Covid infection to either kill or disable us. I will never trust anyone ever again. Their ignorance and arrogance is infuriating.

At the end only the truth can heal. We have to keep on going. That‘s all we can do. Keep on going and cooperate and inform and support each other. We will overcome this crisis. We have to hope and be brave.
