Bullies on the internet are not going to be able to shame me into silence over domestic violence. When I was being abused, I gained clarity and strength through promising myself that, if I escaped, I would help other victims/survivors.
Part of this "help" is educating people about domestic violence, including the nature of narcissistic/psychopathic abuse, a type of abuse that is not well understood by the public.
Another part of this "help" is letting victims/survivors know they are not alone. Abuse carries with it a lot of shame. False arrests--which occurred in my case-- increase this shame and keep victims even more trapped.
I don't have the biggest platform in the world, but I do have one. I also have the right kind of temperment to speak out. Finally, many victims cannot speak out because they have children with their abusers or are otherwise constrained.
The more you try to shame me, the braver I will become. Why? Because publicly shame-silencing one victim/survivor has the impact of shame-silencing even more victims and survivors.
I have been anti-bully my whole life and domestic violence only strengthened my resolve. Internet bullying strengthens it further.
So you can keep trying, but it won't work.
