I'm happy it helped. The world can feel overwhelming at times, which is exactly why I think it's important to pause and notice what's still going right.

A lot of these are true but saying they didn’t have hot water 200 years ago is retarded lol They knew how to heat up water in ancient rome

that's right.. most people throughout history still didn't have instant, reliable hot water in their homes whenever they wanted it

That's why we should thank God when we go to bed and when we wake up.

agree. Whether it's a prayer or simple reflection, it's easy to overlook how many things go right on an ordinary day until they're no longer there

Ooooo wow you’re surviving good for you What is the purpose? Why count and enjoy these things? We’re just heading to death

if we're all heading toward death then every good conversation, warm meal, safe home and meaningful connection becomes more precious, not less. At least that's how I see it

Well 2 and 3 are completely wrong for me but I do in fact live in a house and have working legs so I guess I got that going for me.

right.. nobody's life is a clean sweep of blessings but it's easy to overlook the ones that are already there.

I don’t know what’s worse a life of hardship or a life of comfort 🤔

tough question.. too much hardship can break people but too much comfort can make us forget what matters

the 200 year shower hits different when you remember someone invented indoor plumbing like yesterday in human history

Funny how quickly humans adapt.. give us a miracle for a few generations and we'll start calling it normal

I opened my phone and there was no one inside! Anyone found the 5 people in theirs?

That's because the post promised five people, not five group chats that leave you on read

Woke up to a cool morning, warm covers, comfy bed, and honestly felt "this is heaven."

agreed.. it's such a basic part of daily life for some of us that we forget how many people around the world still don't have reliable access to it.

My phone has no1 that will drop everything to help me...which is probably the most important on the list. Sure I have shelter and food for now...life may be too easy and turns out that's detrimental to the mind

that's a fair observation. Having food and shelter solves some problems but it doesn't replace the need for meaningful human connection.

Loved this. Even an average person has so much to be grateful for. If we thank god for it and start giving back to society, the world would be an even better place.

beautifully put. A grateful heart doesn't just appreciate what it has-it looks for ways to give back
