The way we design navigation is changing.
Traditional UI follows a tree structure, you start at the top and work your way down, step by step, until you reach the result.
It's logical and pretty predictable. For a long time, it was the only way we knew how to build.
Intent Driven Design works differently, instead of forcing the user through a fixed path, the interface adapts to what they're actually trying to do. The result comes from the intention, not from the route.
This shift matters because users think in goals. They know what they want before they know how to get there. And the products that meet them at that point of intention, rather than making them navigate to it, are the ones that feel effortless.
Design for Intent.
