New research: The Norwegian method seems more evolution than revolution. Controlled studies have not tested it. This is a 2023 review by Arturo Casado and colleagues. Here's what the research actually says. The method builds on 100 years of ideas: lots of easy running, intervals below all-out effort, hard days followed by easy days, and training inside a set heart-rate range. The Ingebrigtsen brothers used all four. Here is what some world-class middle- and long-distance runners did each week. Three to four threshold sessions, often two on the same day, each 8 to 12 km of repeats with 20 seconds to 1.5 minutes of rest between them. One harder session, for example 20 x 200 m uphill. And 150 to 180 km a week, mostly easy running. Blood lactate, not pace, sets how hard each interval session is. The target is typically 2 to 4.5 mmol/L, checked every one to three reps. So each session has an effort target read from the body, not the watch. Short, fast reps can still count as threshold work. One session run by international-level runners was 20 x 400 m, averaging 62 seconds per rep with 60 seconds of rest, much faster than half-marathon pace, while blood lactate stayed below 4 mmol/L. Each rep is too short for lactate to climb, and the rest lets it drop back, but not all the way. Threshold work may tire runners less than harder intervals at about 5000 m race pace, so they may recover faster and fit more sessions into a week. The possible cost: more threshold sessions each week may also raise the risk of injury or overtraining. Keep the limits in view. The model has been described only in 1500 m and 5000 m runners, whether it applies to the marathon remains uncertain, and no controlled studies have tested whether it works. Lactate zones should be set through testing for each athlete, not copied from general ranges. My take: the principle travels better than the whole program. Let internal load steer the hard days, keep most of the volume easy, and wait for controlled studies before calling it a revolution. Follow for more research breakdowns. New implant uses electrical signal to remove glucose from the blood.....I wonder if anyone thought of just not eating glucose in the first place? "Diabetes and obesity are becoming increasingly common around the world, and they frequently coexist and reinforce each other. A variety of pharmacological and biological interventions are already available, but each has its advantages and disadvantages and many patients are still in need of better tolerated, more effective, and/or more affordable treatment options. An implantable device developed by Maity et al. helps to fill this gap by providing a controllable way to adjust blood glucose concentration without medications or insulin (see the Perspective by Bentley and Payne). The wirelessly powered device can be linked to a clinically available continuous glucose monitor to catalyze the conversion of glucose to gluconate, which is then renally excreted. This normalized blood glucose and simultaneously removed some of the excess caloric load when tested in mice. —Yevgeniya Nusinovich" science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…

If you believe GHL here you are part of the problem. The DA dropping to sub 50% will be a great thing. It will force them into coalition with the FF+ and the FF+ can then use this leverage to stop the DA's insane redistribution policies and their animal licences and their selling off of city land to fund their insane budgets. What the DA effectively wants to protect is their grip on sole power in the city of Cape Town so they can continue their anti growth policies that have led to a lack of new houses being built and an affordability crises that is entirely avoidable if you actually allowed people to build and develop properties without having to beg daddy government for permissions that constantly seem to change.
Polls show DA only on 51% in CPT. 🗳️ This opens the way for the ANC & EFF. 🚨 Don't risk coalition chaos like Joburg! ⛓️‍💥 Vote DA on 4 November. 💙

Geordin Hill Lewis is now on radio begging Capetonians to vote for the DA. Why should Capetonians vote for the ANC light after what he did to them? The DA under his federal chairship has become pretty worthless with dodgy schemes to rip off the ratepayers. Don’t vote for him.

The European crisis is the end game for the failed experiment of large government, the welfare state, centralisation and socialism. The migration crisis and its attendant propaganda is being deployed to cover up for that. The article below is poignant. Those who believe that the banksters who would have us subjected to more centralisation—at the level of a world technosurveillance government—have lost their minds, probably as a result of the deliberate menticide those same banksters have been intent upon. It is crucial to remember that the architects of the socialist trajectory we have suffered for the last 130 years were those same banksters. open.substack.com/pub/alatam…

Saturated fat was supposed to clog your arteries. A brand new randomized trial just put that to the test. Researchers in Norway assigned 193 adults with obesity to one of three diets for up to 2 years. One was low-carb with about 30% of energy from saturated fat. That's 3 times the 10% cap in the Dietary Guidelines. The other two were higher-carb, guideline-style diets. On the high saturated fat diet, triglycerides dropped 20 to 35% and HDL rose 5 to 18%. On the higher-carb diets those stayed fairly flat. LDL went up 5 to 10%, mostly the large, buoyant particles. ApoB did not go up significantly. Small dense LDL did not go up significantly. And CT scans at 12 months showed no difference in coronary artery calcium between the diets. The lead researcher said the study "challenges the contention that a higher intake of saturated fat has an inherent negative impact of overall disease risk." The Study and my video below...

A 2-year RCT published in eBioMedicine looked at what a low-carb, high-fat diet does to cardiovascular risk markers. LDL went up. ApoB didn't change. If your doctor only ran a standard lipid panel, they'd likely tell you to start a statin. Here's what the full picture actually showed. 🧵

The Australian'a have caught on. She won't survive this. The internet is forever. Sydney University will regret this.
Apparently creating a medical apartheid state to force a failed and experimental medical treatment is the epitome of empathy and good government... You can now learn how to be a tyrant and get a better job at Sydney Uni. Disgusting.

A highly contagious deadly plague, even a war, could never have damaged the psycho-social life and spirit of the Kiwi people as much as Jacinda Ardern did. She curdled the marrow in our bones. She peddled hate. She broke our nation. It will take kilometres and kilometres of No.8 wire to patch up a fix. It will take decades to repair, heal if we get the chance to. It is still not safe in NZ to speak about the shock, and for many, the trauma Ardern caused. Scientific analysis may help — one day when the academy itself is reclaimed from the sham it has become. Like @AliaVFF and others, I have data on the turmoil Ardern caused. One day safety, sanity might be reclaimed.
An Open Letter to the University of Sydney @Sydney_Uni @mscott Regarding the appointment of Jacinda Ardern as Professor of Practice Dear Professor Scott, I read with absolute disgust that the University of Sydney has appointed Jacinda Ardern as Professor of Practice, where she will apparently be sharing her wisdom on empathetic leadership, social cohesion and civic trust. You cannot be serious. You are quoted as saying: "Dame Jacinda led New Zealand through events of profound consequence and her leadership demonstrated that empathy and resolve do not compete with one another; each can strengthen the other." Appointing Jacinda Ardern to teach social cohesion is rather like appointing Jeffrey Dahmer to teach a course on wellbeing, or Jimmy Savile to run the local daycare centre. The sheer absurdity would almost be funny if the consequences of her leadership weren't so hideously tragic. My name is Alia Bland. I am a co-founder of Voices for Freedom, an organisation established in New Zealand in 2020. For years, we stood alongside tens of thousands of ordinary Kiwis whose lives were torn apart by the policies of Ardern's government. While the international media fawned over her kindness and compassion, we were dealing with the wreckage. At the height of the COVID response, we were receiving upwards of 1,000 emails a day. Desperate people reaching out because they had lost their jobs, their incomes, their homes and, in many cases, their will to live. People nearing retirement were forced to sell family homes they had spent decades paying off. Some are still living in caravans five years later. Marriages collapsed. Families fractured. Lifelong friendships were destroyed. People who had served their communities for decades were suddenly treated like lepers because they declined a medical procedure. Some of the people who came to us had spent their entire lives believing New Zealand was a decent, fair-minded country. Watching that belief crumble, and seeing what it did to them, was heartbreaking. I cannot adequately describe the anguish in those emails. The desperation of parents wondering how they would feed and house their families. The humiliation of hardworking people being marched out of professions they loved. The despair of people who had done everything society asked of them, only to discover that their own government considered them disposable. And presiding over it all was Jacinda Ardern, smiling for the cameras and telling the world how kind New Zealand was. Kind? For whom? Her government deliberately created a two-class society. Ardern herself acknowledged it publicly. New Zealanders were excluded from workplaces, businesses, events and ordinary social life. People were coerced into accepting a medical intervention under threat of losing their livelihoods. And those who suffered adverse reactions to the COVID vaccines faced another nightmare. We fought for vaccine-injured New Zealanders whose lives had been devastated by serious physical harm, while many struggled to have their injuries acknowledged or receive adequate support. The government's public assurances about vaccine safety deserve particular scrutiny. Officials knew about the myocarditis risk, including among young people. We have examined the records. Yet people raising legitimate questions about those risks were routinely dismissed and vilified. The damage went far beyond lost incomes and broken relationships. An enormous number of New Zealanders lost faith in the very institutions they had trusted their entire lives. Government, health authorities, education, police and the media. That trust has not magically returned because Ardern has moved on to more prestigious surroundings. While her government was busy marginalising people, we were building a nationwide support network to help them survive. Voices for Freedom grew to more than 100,000 people on our mailing list, many representing entire families. More than 45,000 people signed up to our local groups across the country, which are still operational today in 2026. We established industry groups to help people fight for their careers, provided support through employment disputes and legal challenges, organised practical assistance and hand-delivered millions of flyers to households throughout New Zealand. We did this while facing censorship, public vilification and government surveillance. Official records obtained since have confirmed that our activities and communications were being monitored and reported on. Our volunteers gave everything they could to help people who had been abandoned by the institutions meant to protect them. And now the University of Sydney wants to hold up the woman responsible for overseeing this period as a shining example of empathy and social cohesion? It is sickening. Professor Scott, did anyone at your university bother to speak with the people whose lives were destroyed under Ardern's leadership before celebrating her appointment? Have you spoken to the former nurses, teachers and police officers who lost their careers? The families who lost their homes? The people still suffering from vaccine injuries? The parents whose children no longer speak to them? Or did you simply swallow the carefully cultivated international image of Saint Jacinda, the compassionate leader who saved New Zealand? I wonder whether you have considered why this internationally celebrated former prime minister now lives in Australia rather than the country she once led. The depth of hostility towards her among many New Zealanders should give you pause. Because I can assure you, there is another side to that story. And there are hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders who live with the consequences. I have no objection to universities studying Ardern's leadership. In fact, I would encourage it. There is an enormous amount to learn from what happened in New Zealand between 2021 and 2023. Like, what not to do... But presenting her as someone uniquely qualified to teach empathy, social cohesion and civic trust, without acknowledging the extraordinary human suffering that occurred under her leadership, is an insult to the people who paid the price. We were there, Professor Scott. We saw what happened. We picked up the pieces. We are still picking them up. Some of those people will never recover what they lost. And the woman who presided over it all gets a professorship in empathy. What an absolute disgrace. Yours sincerely, Alia Bland Co-founder, Voices for Freedom New Zealand

There is a slight awakening ⬇️⬇️Bad News for Jacinda Ardern‼️‼️ ⚠️⚠️ After boasting yesterday to media about her new job lecturing kids at the University of Sydney, students and their parents are CANCELLING their classes as they discover why Ardern can no longer live in her own country. Rising anger in New Zealand led to Ardern fleeing to the USA as over 311000 NZ kids were poisoned due to Ardern and Hipkins hiding Pfizer's heart damaging side effects. The medical harm monitoring agency CARM recorded over 64,000 injuries from the Pfizer injection before Ardern shut down monitoring in 2022. Many more were injured since then. Prior to this Ardern and her deputy Hipkins had instructed Grant Robertson - Arderns Finance Minister- to Indemnify Pfizer from all claims, strongly suggesting she Knew the product was dangerous. It gets worse. During phone calls with Melinda Gates - then a major Pfizer shareholder - Ardern agreed to Mandate Pfizer despite knowing it injured men, women and children. Gates went on to publicly announce a 💲3️⃣0️⃣ Million USD😵‍💫 payment DIRECTLY to Jacinda Ardern. Those 311,000 kids❓️ They all had Mothers and Fathers.
If Sydney University can find the money to pay Ardern, it’s time to take a chainsaw to the $1,237 million they received from taxpayers last year alone. It’s sickening that hard working Australians are now being forced fund Ardern‘s luxury lifestyle.
