Jones: "This is an example of anti-Jewish hate, and it should be taken down immediately. And denounce, and by the way, Abdul should denounce this ad immediately." @ScottJenningsKY adds: "It's economic incoherence wrapped up in anti-Semitism. So it's sort of par for the course. I mean, El-Sayed himself in this campaign has argued we can't have good education in this country because we fund the Iron Dome, which is completely wrong, nuts, economic incoherence. By the way, eggs, like $2.70 a carton, bananas, 40 or 50 cents a pound. It's economic incoherence. It's a lie, but it's all done in service to anti-Semitism. “Stop stealing our money!” “Why should America send Israel so much money?” More and more Jew-haters are coming into my comments lately claiming Israel steals their taxpayer money, so let’s make some order here… On an average year, the US gives Israel 3.8 billion, which accounts for 0.054% of America’s federal budget, $7 trillion. 0.054%! US aid to Israel is just 7% of US foreign aid spending. 7%! Oh, and 86% of US aid to Israel has to be spent in America. And out of those billions, a large part of it goes to the Iron Dome, which is defensive and has never hurt a single human. (If you’re opposed to the funding of the Iron Dome, you are openly calling for the murder of Jews.) And one more thing… Ambassador Huckabee told me personally, if there’s someone on the receiving end of the US Israel relationship, it’s the US, not Israel. Responding to a terrorist attack, is not “genocide”. Hunting and butchering people at a music festival, is. Warning civilians of a pending attack, giving them time to evacuate, is not “genocide”. Planning to send 6,000 rockets aimed at civilians, is. Targeting hospitals and schools that combatants are using for military purposes, such as storage/firing of weapons, and hideouts for terrorists, is not “genocide”. Targeting fields where children are playing football/soccer, is. Protecting your citizens from attacks, and doing everything possible to rescue hostages when they’re taken by terrorists, is not “genocide”. Setting up rocket launchers inside of schools and hospitals, in order to draw fire from your enemy at innocent civilians to make your enemy look bad, is. In an effort to make Israel look bad, the word “genocide” has been tossed around a lot since Oct 7 – even before Israel responded to the massacre. When you look at the actions of the two sides, only one side’s actions can be construed to be genocidal. And it’s not Israel.

In 1948, Israel was declared a state and the British Mandate for Palestine came to an end. Before that came Ottoman rule, preceded by centuries of other empires. There had never been a sovereign Palestinian state. “Palestine” was a Roman name, not an ancient Palestinian nation-state. Palestinian nationalism emerged as a modern political movement, increasingly defined by its opposition to Israel’s existence. Now, as that movement’s symbols appear across a Europe seemingly intent on dismantling its own civilisation, it’s time you look at Israel with open eyes. Israel was not the exception. Israel was the precedent.
