Hairspray is a classic, it gets better every time I watch it. Splendor and Rabbit were disappointing for me, both felt like they fell a bit short in different ways. Black Samson was thoroughly gritty and entertaining. The guy has a pet lion who lives in his topless bar!

Whisper Man really surprised me. It is very much a standard crime thriller, predictable and all, but it has some real highlights, brought me back a few decades to when films like this were coming out all the time.

The cover art for this release is insane, they become increasingly more desaturated from left to right. Anyway, I just ripped this DVD, there are some really awesome performances on it. Steely Dan fans should dig some of it. Link below!

Léon was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, and my rating was based on my hazy memory of the film. Watching it as an adult for the first time, it's very upsetting to see a 12-year-old Natalie Portman be a conduit for the director's perverse desires.

After an extended hiatus, Jordan and I are once again playing a game for a new episode of Yeah, I've Played. I cannot remember who suggested Marlow Briggs, but if you are reading this, thank you! The game is fun; I am loving the pacing. Just gets right into it and doesn't quit!
