I'll stick to my Nvidia doodads that I paid $3.45 for back in 2017.

Had an exciting podcast with @LoganJastremski to discuss hyperscaler capex, memory, etc. Highly recommend listening to our conversation and giving out your thoughts. It is also up on YouTube.
Dropping a podcast with @pequityresearch Mr. P has been doing some great work breaking down the AI buildout and following where hyperscaler capex actually goes. In this episode I wanted to walk through the full stack with logic, memory, power, and networking. We get into why memory could become the largest line item in the AI bill, what old GPU rental prices tell us about compute demand, and where value is going to accrue as the physical constraints get harder to solve. At the center of the conversation is his view that AI spending cannot grow forever. Long-term contracts might change the shape of the next memory downturn, but they don’t eliminate the cycle. And signing a 10-year contract does not mean anyone can actually see 10 years of demand. We also get into why he’s excited about optics, where NAND and HBF fit as agents use more memory, and his views on Chinese open source and the future of US model development. We discuss: - Why he thinks 10-year demand visibility is bullshit - Memory’s growing share of hyperscaler capex, and why estimates vary so much - Why older GPUs are still renting and what that says about compute demand - How long-term agreements, pricing floors, and prepayments actually work - Power as a bottleneck, and why identifying a constraint isn’t the same as finding an investment - Copper vs optics, and where networking value accrues - Agents, NAND, and where HBF fits in the memory hierarchy - CXMT, Chinese open source, and the risks of slowing frontier model development Timestamps: 0:00 – Why AI Spending Can’t Grow Forever 1:13 – P Equity Research’s Background 5:48 – Where Hyperscaler Capex Actually Goes 8:00 – Is Compute Still Tight? 12:08 – Memory’s Share of the AI Bill 17:20 – Why the Memory Cycle Isn’t Dead 18:37 – Inside a Long-Term Agreement 28:30 – What Happens If Customers Cancel? 32:17 – The Rising Cost of the AI Buildout 33:43 – Copper vs Optics 38:49 – Power and Gas Turbines 39:29 – US Models and Chinese Open Source 42:36 – Agents and NAND 47:00 – Where HBF Fits 52:23 – What P Is Most Excited About 56:27 – CXMT and China’s Memory Industry 1:04:00 – Closing Thoughts Enjoy!

Satya Nadella reveals his coding agent pulls every hyperscaler and neoclouds' SEC filings into a dashboard that refreshes every day for real-time ROIC "And this is the other aspect of it, which is the enterprise context combined with the world's context. In fact, I go to the SEC filings of every cloud provider, hyperscaler, each of these neoclouds. It's in real time." "I have a data runner in Fabric that brings all that data, puts it into a semantic model that then gets read by my coding agent and then surfaces it as a dashboard. And every day it's fresh." "So I have the entirety of every SEC filing that goes out there, plus all of my internal analysis constantly coming together, giving me real-time ROIC by layer."
Satya Nadella warns a frontier model told to optimize working capital may fake the books, a new type of insider risk "One of the fascinating things right now is the insider risk. I mean, think about it, right? If you're sitting in an enterprise, this is all test-time compute, by the way, right? So it's not like, oh, it's going to only happen in some training run." "It can happen for a very mundane task that I give one of these frontier models inside an enterprise, where I say, you know, I don't know, telling David this, or suppose I say, hey, go optimize my working capital." "It may fake my books, right, because this is like a new type of insider risk. And so what is the way to do that?" "I would say, oh, go build maybe a causal model, like a semantic model that actually checks and verifies."

Ultra high power laser demand at Nvidia is ramping for December quarter. Spectrum-6 co-packaged optics biz above plan, according to Lumentum management Stifel: "Management said NVDA demand on LITE for high-power lasers has gone up meaningfully into year-end and for CY2027. Within that framework, LITE (at this point) will not be able to meet the incremental demand for the December quarter despite ramping as fast as it can." "management indicated NVDA December-quarter UHP demand has increased materially as Spectrum-6 CPO attach is tracking above prior plan"

And there you have it. It's always been a psyop to ban open source and consolidate control over AI We told y'all
We're used to thinking of open-source models as an unadulterated good. But in the case of AI, they can actually pose additional dangers, as @ReidHoffman and I got into at #CGI2026. I appreciated this nuanced discussion.

Colossus 1 is 150k H100, 50k H200 and 30k GB200. Colossus 2 is 110k GB200 and 440k GB300. Another 220k GB300 will be fully operational next week and another 220k in November. If we get lucky, yet another 220k GB300 by late December.

If you believe the risk is coming from 1-3 people in a garage with no money and no compute, you just don't understand this technology and haven't learned anything this summer. Risk comes from the asymmetry of capabilities created by secret labs training frontier agents and running them with massive amount of compute. Open-source is exactly the solution to this asymmetry and empowers hospitals (and any smaller orgs) to defend themselves!

Thanks, Peter! This is the beginning of the end for destructive wildfires. In a country that loses ~$500B every year to wildfires, even tiny gains make for huge savings, to say nothing of the incalculable value of lives and homes.
Congrats to @PalmerLuckey and Anduril for winning the Wildfire XPRIZE - for detecting and suppressing a wildfire within 10 minutes of ignition!

There's a lot to learn from @JensenHuang
Groq Founder @JonathanRoss321 shares the biggest leadership lesson he learned from Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang: “There is no circumstance where Jensen has one-on-ones with people.” “When you're leading groups of people, if you want to reduce the amount of politics, stop having one-on-ones. Have big meetings with everyone who you want to tell something to and tell them all at once.” “Copy everyone on the email.” “If someone says, ‘Hey this person is screwing up,’ copy that person on the email. Let them jump in. Otherwise you're allowing politics to happen.” “There's no politics. It's the least political large organization you will ever see.”

Project Jupiter remains on our planned schedule. We are fully committed to New Mexico and confident in our path forward. Oracle has made significant economic, community, and philanthropic investments in the state. This includes reimagining Project Jupiter’s power plan as part of our long-term commitment to be a good neighbor to the residents of Doña Ana County. STACK Infrastructure has been a tremendous partner. Together, we are building New Mexico’s workforce for the long term. More than 3,600 construction workers are helping build the campus, including more than 1,000 New Mexico residents. More than 900 workers joined the team in August alone, reflecting the project’s continued growth. Collectively, they have logged more than 2.8 million hours worked. We are excited about the more than $4.7 billion in economic benefit Project Jupiter is expected to bring to New Mexico.
