I cannot understand why you guys want to rush to oust Pierre years ahead of an election. We make this mistake *every time* Nobody has an answer to what would defeat Carney and the Liberals. Until we know the answer: chill. Liberals literally did this with Carney to us.

Such a weird time. In the last 5 years we went from “wear a mask and get a shot to save grandma” to “grandma doesn’t care that you lost your job and will never buy a house” 🇨🇦🤷🏼‍♀️😞
"The Liberals have a 30 point lead with those aged 60 and up with 18 to 29 year olds, Conservatives have a lead by almost 10 points." "Conservatives also lead with 30 to 44 year olds." "And if you have a lot of time on your hands to sit around consuming 24 hour news and taking in the threat of Donald Trump, perhaps you're a little more perplexed with that in ranking that issue higher." "So I still think that there's a real audience for the Conservatives on some of these more domestic issues around immigration and crime and affordability." "And when you peel back those broader numbers, the generational story is told in that." @KatlynHarrison

If you honestly believe Canada can win a trade war with the United States and just replace the U.S. market somewhere else, congratulations. The propaganda worked. You don’t casually replace the largest economy on Earth sitting right next door to you. We’re only fooling ourselves if we think we can.

Outside of MAGA show me anyone other than Jen who thinks criticizing Politicians in power automatically means you hate the country. Anyone else.
Pierre Pollievre has spent 6 years campaigning against Canada. One thing Conservatives cannot do, is change. It's in the name.

Thank god we: - removed all inter-provincial trade barriers by July 1st last year. - put shovels in the ground to get Canadian energy to Asia and Europe 2 years ago Oh, wait? We didn’t?

Information from @atRachelGilmore about Poilievre is the Canadian equivalent of asking Laura Loomer for opinions on Kamala Harris.
A series of dismal polls suggest the writing might be on the wall for Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre. Given this strange chapter might be coming to a close, I figured we’d look back on Poilievre’s political career. Here are some of the more memorable moments:

If the replace him now they give insincere shills and vapid LPC MP's three years to create absurd false narratives about the new Leader like you guys did with Poilievre. So what advantage is there in replacing him now? If they do, it should be shortly before an election.
Pierre Poilievre is a massive liability for the CPC. The polls are ugly, the momentum is gone, and while Poilievre continues to struggle, Mark Carney and the Liberals are benefiting from it. 😃😃 The more Canadians tune out Pierre, the more room Carney has to build support. At some point, Conservatives need to stop pretending this is just a bad stretch. If the CPC wants any chance of winning, they need to seriously consider changing leaders before Poilievre sinks the entire party with him. Politics is about winning. Right now, Pierre isn’t. And Carney is happily picking up the pieces.

Was Jennifer living in a cave during the election? Pierre had one of the most comprehensive platform that any leader has forwarded during an election. Go to you tube and watch his rally speeches. Where do you think that Carney got the idea for the policies after he was elected? Carney has never said that he did not get them from Pierre.
The NP seems to forget that Pp didn’t release his platform until after some advanced polling had concluded and when he did, it was so empty, it was half the length of the libs and was full of empty slogans and promotional photos that what was left was meaningless vapid slop.

We need to stop talking about protecting minors from Social Media and start focusing on the harm it's doing to the mental health of boomers like Laura.
Yeah America politicians think we are not drinking their substandard booze because some Provinces took it off the shelves. They are delusional: we are BOYCOTTING their shit because they betrayed us. They mistake our kindness for weakness. 🇨🇦

Every day Liberals in Canada and MAGA in the US tell us if you don't love the Leader you can't love the country. And they do this without a shred of self-awareness.
Every day I come here and get attacked for saying that I love my country and our Prime Minister. As one friend told me, I must be doing something right 😏

"They ordered a fighter and got a folding chair and everyone else deserves a media that will report that." An apt description of our PM.
This isn’t reporting, it’s running PR for the PM with a Harper dig thrown in for free a decade after he’s been in power. Pick a lane: newsroom or PMO. You can’t cash cheques from both trust funds. The bridge being open is a win, no argument. But don’t forget Carney sold himself as the one guy tough enough to handle Trump, and so far he has caved on everything & without anything in return. The people who bought that pitch deserve to feel shortchanged. They ordered a fighter and got a folding chair and everyone else deserves a media that will report that.

Replying to @Fromehtozed
How so? Would you have left the bridge closed? At least it’s opening, Harper understood we needed the new bridge but it also left us vulnerable to a shakedown given we were assuming all the risks.

We lost because of Trump. We could have done things better, maybe mitigated our loses, but that really is what happened. Understanding that truth is important. Canadian pundits on both sides credit Carney with political genius, undeservedly. He got very lucky.
All else being equal, having more political experience is usually a good thing for a political role. But having filtered non-diverse political experience can be worse than having almost no political experience. That's how he got beat by a political rookie.

There's never been a better argument to abolish the Senate in Canada than the fact that Adler sits in it.

I'm more depressed about the state of conservative politics in Canada right now than i think i've ever been, i won't deny it. Some advice to conservatives, young conservatives especially, that i am doing myself. Let's get thinking, talking, writing and organizing around what conservatism is and needs to be and should look like. The country has changed, the world has changed, but too often i don't think conservatism here has changed in substantive ways it's just taking the old stuff and trying to reapply it to a new world and hoping it fits. And I think we need to have honest and serious discussions that are not just dogfights or purely partisan discussions but deeper questions about what we stand for. I look at all sorts of conservative camps and factions right now and I see intellectual poverty everywhere. Part of the problem i see is we've had plenty of party and leadership fights but not enough intellectual fights that are actually about what we need to care about and what our answers are. Not partisan dogfights but serious discussions to help us update our intellectual basis, there are the beginnings of it and some good spaces, people, publications that have appeared in the last little while. This has to be the beginning and gives me some hope. I want us to build and focus on this and reject the various tired or vacuous things we are told we have to.

If voters gave a shit about the floor crossings etc, Mark Carney wouldn’t have a double digit lead in the polls. We literally had MPs hide behind curtains to prevent what could have been an accidentally successful non-confidence motion because we knew we’d get creamed. Focus.
I’m seeing some CPC voices on X saying, “Don’t whine about Carney getting a floor-crossing majority or appointing a CPC MP to the Senate. They’re outplaying us. We won’t win by whining.” You are the Official Opposition. Your job is not to admire the Liberals’ tactics. Your job is to argue for Canadian citizens. If the governing party appears to be bending the system toward something that looks increasingly like one-party rule, then you lean in and fight it. You work for voters — not the party brand. Man up. Lead, fight, or get out of the way.

Three of the top five by viewership are soccer Leagues, only the NBA cracks the top 5. I love the NFL, but here are like 32 commercial breaks a quarter. I'm sure if the Premier league stopped play and sold ads every 45 seconds of play the revenue generated would go up.
We have three sports leagues in the US that each make far more revenue than any soccer league anywhere in the world. We have dozens of stadiums that are far beyond the best venue in most countries. Sports as entertainment is something we unquestionably do better than anyone else in the world. So when US sports consumers give feedback, you would think people would listen, right? It's like French people commenting on your food or Germans talking about your engineering quality. Nope! Just more Euro-snob bullshit. The bottom line is soccer is a worse product than American football or basketball. That's why we don't watch it. We have options.
