According to Newsweek Poland, the CIA warned Poland about a possible threat to the banking system involving undersea cables. The report says U.S. officials warned that Russia has very thoroughly mapped undersea cables used by international banking, including connections between Europe and America, cables in the Baltic Sea linking Scandinavia with Poland and the wider region, and routes between the UK and Europe. The reported concern is a scenario in which key cables carrying financial data could be damaged. According to Newsweek, the Americans warned Poland that its banking system must be prepared for such a critical test, as serious disruption could affect interbank communication.

🇺🇦🤖 RUSSIA NEVER SAW THE ASSAULT COMING. UKRAINE DROPPED ROBOTS BEHIND ITS LINES. Ukraine’s Third Army Corps says it used heavy bomber drones to carry kamikaze ground robots roughly 10 km behind Russian positions in northern Donetsk, in what Oboronka describes as the first operation of its kind in the world. The concept was simple: send machines where infantry would otherwise take the first risk. During the Vivaldi offensive, Ukrainian crews reportedly activated electronic warfare and air defense to suppress Russian reconnaissance drones. With Russian commanders unable to see the assault forming, heavy bombers flew into the rear and released ground kamikaze robots before Ukrainian infantry moved forward behind them. The Third Corps says the broader operation liberated Serednie, Shandryholove and Derylove, then cleared Koroviy Yar, Oleksandrivka, Novoselivka, Yarova and Drobysheve. Its reported result: 125 km² brought back under Ukrainian control, including 50 km² deoccupied. Ukraine had already demonstrated another version of the concept in July 2026, when an unmanned naval platform delivered a ground robot armed with a Wolly 7.62 remote weapon module onto the occupied Kinburn Spit. Now the delivery route has moved into the air. Ukraine is no longer just using drones to strike the battlefield. It is using drones to deploy robots into the enemy rear before its soldiers arrive.
