Having fun building things I need. Argentino in South Korea

Imagine what people will build with these powerful models…. Probably the exact same racing game or first-person shooter. It was never about what a tool can do, but what you dare to imagine.

Most online tools only optimize file size, but they're still reinflated in memory. This tool will optimize your GLTF/GLB assets and export to GPU-compressed KTX2, entirely client-side. Try it here: gltf-optimizer.simondev.io #threejs #gamedev

I vibecoded a multiplayer FPS in 4 days. Not a demo. 3v3 paintball, live matchmaking, browser, one click and you're in a match. Nobody modeled these maps. They're built in a home editor and exported straight into the game. Yours works too. Open source. (sound on)

About 7 months ago, I started designing a WebGPU library to ship performant shaders at Vercel. Today, we are announcing vgpu: a minimal WebGPU library designed for agents. But what does "designed for agents" mean? 🧵

We're really happy to welcome @NotionHQ as an annual sponsor of @dev_korea🎉 If you're building a startup in Korea (or anywhere😎) and haven't set up a paid Notion workspace yet, this one is worth 5 minutes. Dev Korea is now an official Notion partner. Our link unlocks the full 6 months of the Business plan with Notion AI included, worth up to KRW 21,000,000. Without a partner link you only get 3 months. Docs, wiki, and project tracking in one place instead of three subscriptions. @OpenAI, @figma, @vercel, @cursor_ai and many more all run on it. 👉 Apply with our partner link: ntn.so/devkorea The partner code applies automatically. You'll need a company website and email, under 100 employees, and no previous paid Notion plan or promo. Not sure about the flow? Walkthrough in the comments 👇 Excited to have them supporting the Dev Korea community 🚀

I did it. I recorded and edited 21 lessons (+ ending) in 14 days 🫠 Lessons are 100% done ✅ Unfortunately, I need to start working on my talk for @threejsconf before @makio64 comes and kick my ass. I'll try to finish updating Three.js Journey website before the conference 🤞

Most months, the Moon's shadow misses Earth. Today it doesn't. 🌑 Right now that shadow is crossing Greenland, Iceland and northern Spain. Europe's first totality since 1999. So I built a 3D visualizer with Three.js: scrub the timeline, follow the shadow, see why the alignment almost never works out. Safe to stare at. Unlike the real thing, wear the glasses. 🕶️

This has been sitting in my head for a long time, and a conversation today pushed me to finally write it down. I want to run an event in Seoul about accessibility. @dev_korea, Seoul iOS Meetup, or both together, I have not decided yet and honestly that is the least important part. Here is the idea. Most of us have read the docs. We know VoiceOver exists, we know about alt text, contrast ratios, semantic HTML, Dynamic Type. But almost none of us have watched someone actually navigate our own app with a screen reader. I think seeing that live, in the room, would change how a lot of us build. So I am looking for people who are blind or have low vision, and who would be willing to show us how they use websites and mobile apps day to day. What works. What is broken. What we keep getting wrong without realizing it. The format is open. No slides needed. A live demo on your own device is probably worth more than any deck. We run in English and that is my preference, but I know it is not a small thing to ask. If it is a barrier for you, tell me and we will discuss how to make it work. If this is you, or you know someone, please comment or DM. Sharing helps too. I know this is raw, but I have to start somewhere to make it work. Thank you 🫶

Even though I was always curious, I’ve always skipped hackathons because of social anxiety, but @RevenueCat’s Shipathon being 100% remote changed my mind. The goal for my first hackathon: Survive, ship, show up. maxiruti.com/blog/entry-13-s…

X is LinkedIn without a tie. People on X bash LinkedIn for being fake, yet they turn around and do the exact same clout-farming, thread-spamming, and engagement-baiting, just wrapped in cynicism instead of corporate optimism.
