Great joining @MaxFosterCNN on @cnni about E1. My message was simple: this isn’t really about another housing project. It’s about Israel’s strategic future. Israel must be able to defend itself and meet the security lessons of October 7. But security control and permanent civilian settlement are not the same thing. Good strategy preserves options. E1 potentially closes them. If a two-state outcome isn’t possible today, Israel should at least preserve the possibility for tomorrow. We can defend Israel today without surrendering our choices for its future.
