Kotobukiya’s putting the 2010 Kurisu 1/8 back up. 11,000 yen. January 2027. Xbox 360 limited box pose. She’s on those tangled gears staring past you, jacket falling off, broken phone down by her boot. Same sculpt. They raised the price. Didn’t touch the face. People are gonna think this is the running one or the lab coat. It’s not. It’s the empty one.

45GB for The Witcher 3 Remastered on PS5 and no preload. That’s the actual news. It isn’t a new game on the store. It’s a patch that hits the Complete Edition you already own, Tuesday 29 September, one global time. 6am New York. 3am LA. Noon in Warsaw. Steam and Xbox are the same 45. Switch 2 is 50 and separate. People will leave it overnight thinking the download starts early. It doesn’t. The file opens when the clock does, same minute as everyone else. Clear the drive before you sleep.

Codes in a box is a Game Key Card with a spine. NIS America already dropped those on Switch 2 because their buyers would not pay for a case that doesn’t start the game. Kenzo Saruhashi still won’t rule that out for PlayStation after January 2028. He’s the one who said Sony is “hearing a lot of the feedback from customers.” People will read that as the disc date moving. It didn’t. Capcom can live digital. NIS eats on limited editions. Hearing the room is not a press.

The Kickstarter didn’t fail to finish a Wild Arms game. It was never the size of one. ¥379 million in 2022 was for two proof-of-concept demos, on purpose. Split that and you’re around a million dollars a side before fees and rewards. That ships a vertical slice. It does not ship a current-gen world map, vehicles, gadget dungeons, and a new turn-order system on PS5, Xbox, and PC. Octopath-scale JRPGs sit in the tens of millions. That is the comparison people are skipping. Digital Bros discontinued it in the FY to June 30, 2026 after they tried to revise the gameplay. That is a publisher deciding the remaining check was too big, not a studio that never built the thing. March 2026 they already had the main scenario and core systems in a ROM. Backers funded the meeting that got them a publisher. The publisher is what walked.

Yoko Taro says he made Nier Automata the RPG he wanted and “tried to stay hidden from Square Enix as much as possible.” The number under that quote is 300,000 copies, Square’s internal target. That’s not a publisher giving an auteur room. That’s a project they already priced as a miss. What people will misread is the hiding. He wasn’t dodging story notes. He was dodging the 10am badge-in so the build could get past the point where a 300k game gets cancelled. Saito threatening to quit is the same move from the other desk. Platinum built it. The first Nier had already missed. That’s why nobody was watching.

Despera got a manga date today in Madrid. Konaka and ABe, 2027. That year was already their anime year. They did not move the calendar. They put a book in front of the show and made the show depend on the book selling. No studio. No director named. No episode count. Those were missing in February and they are missing tonight. The misread is that a manga date is an anime date. It is a sales gate. Animage already ran Despera from 2009 to 2010 and stopped. The new number is not 2027. It is the second time this story has to prove it can live on paper before anyone funds the rest.

Digital Foundry put Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on Switch 2. It holds 30fps. There is no 60fps option. Intelligent Systems put the game out last week. DF played about two hours and did not see the frame rate fall off. The hitch Engage had when you left the map for a fight is gone. Loads are short. It does not run native 4K. Docked, they saw a 720p base rebuilt to 1440p. Handheld looked like 540p rebuilt to 1080p. They think it might be a light DLSS pass. Nintendo has not said that. Shadows go flat in spots. Filtering gets soft. It still looks cleaner than Engage. Mario Kart World does 60 on this machine. This game does not. For a tactics title, they took the stable 30. That is the Switch 2 Fire Emblem so far. Smoother than the last two. Not a tech flex.

Selling my PS5 was the best thing I did. Got decent money for it, kept every disc I actually cared about, and moved to PC. Now Sony’s saying new games after 2028 won’t even come on disc and you’re stuck in their store. I used to get stressed about that stuff. I don’t anymore. On PC I just buy the game where it’s cheapest and it stays mine. Can’t believe I waited so long.

Forza Horizon 6 players in Japan say they’re getting banned over itasha paint jobs. One: “They show absolutely no respect for the culture they used as the game’s main selling point.” Game’s set in Japan. Anime cars are the point. Another: “Some were genuinely against the rules, but the vast majority were just regular itasha paint jobs.” WIP garage drafts and in-game photos of the cars are getting hit too. Players are calling it a mass-report campaign. Hardware bans. Fans say the code of conduct is written “as vague as possible.” Turn 10 updated the Forza rules. Human review. Report count doesn’t change the queue. Playground still hasn’t spoken.

Sony isn’t bringing discs back. That survey is damage control. They’re asking developers. Not you. Would you still buy the next PlayStation if new games never come on disc?

Konami’s 40th anniversary trailer just flashed Lament of Innocence, Curse of Darkness, and Lords of Shadow next to Belmont’s Curse. That’s 1:22. Those three still aren’t on modern consoles. All 3D. PS2, PS2, MercurySteam 2010. N64 and Lords of Shadow 2 didn’t show up. Anniversary, Advance, and Dominus already covered the 2D stuff. Original Castlevania is free on mobile for a limited time. Belmont’s Curse hits next month.

Dressmaker cracked Steam’s top 10 bestsellers. Cozy Lives / Free Lives launched it Sept 21. $14.99, $13.49 until Monday. It sat ahead of Diablo 4 and Control Resonant for a bit, then dropped. 96% positive, Overwhelmingly Positive. Peak was over 13,000 concurrent. Hau-Yoon: the team “fully recouped our costs” on day one. You cut patterns, sew them, add buttons. Grain vs bias actually shows up on the dress. User reviews are not verified.

GTA 6 pre-orders are “heavily skewed toward PS5,” Xbox sources told The Verge. They called it another alarm bell for the platform. Sony has the bigger install base and a Take-Two co-marketing deal. The trailers already read like a PS5 ad. Xbox hardware has been sliding for three years. Microsoft waved off an 8:1 affiliate-click story last time. This one is coming from inside the building. That is not a sales leak. That is Xbox admitting the biggest game of the generation makes the smaller console look optional.

$399.99. That’s the new GTA VI drop. A gator figure, Oakleys, a hat, a shot glass, a razor-blade keychain. No game. Rockstar calls it The Goodtime State Vice City Collection. Ships November 19. Limited. Game sold separately. Yeah.

Marvel Tokon is sitting at 427 players on Steam right now. 791 in the last 24 hours. All-time peak was 13,787. That’s Steam only. PlayStation isn’t in those charts. Alinea’s estimate is about 750,000 copies and $49.7 million across both platforms. 82 percent PlayStation. 18 percent Steam. Estimates, not a publisher number. Game came out August 6. PC launch was a mess. Max Dood uninstalled it on stream. Director Kazuto Sekine apologized later. Leffen: “Very sad, I had a lot of high hopes for Tokon.” He says EU matches are thin and the serious scene feels like a fraction of Strive or 2XKO. Ranks are not sales. Steam charts aren’t the whole game.
