Cancelling a pending transaction requires gas to override the original attempt on-chain.
If shown 'Cancelled' for an earlier attempt, the transaction was stopped, but any swap executed on Ethereum still requires gas.

Hey Humphrey! To clarify, the $13.67 network fee goes entirely to Ethereum network validators to swap on Mainnet—not to MetaMask.
Gas fluctuates based on congestion, regardless of which wallet you use. For lower network fees, you might want to try swapping on Layer 2 networks!

Hey there, MetaMask's warnings can come from either the community phishing-detect blocklist or Blockaid's automated scans.
If it's the latter, you can submit a false-positive report directly at report.blockaid.io while we investigate the GitHub report your team also filed.
