Street Fighter just got torched by one of its biggest superfans.
YouTuber Tyrone Magnus, who has more than 2 million subscribers, calls the new movie:
“One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen.”
His review is already closing in on 150,000 views.
“Street Fighter 2026 was a big old piece of trash,” Magnus says.
“It was stupid. It was goofy. It was campy.”
As a longtime fan, he says this one actually hurt.
“As a super fan, I’m hurt.”
His biggest complaint is the tone.
Magnus says the animated scenes are dark, violent, and “badass.”
The live-action scenes?
“Goofy, campy, stupid garbage.”
His description of mixing the two:
“You do not mix doodoo with grade-A cuisine.”
He says Guile and Ken were turned into jokes, calls Bison “absolute trash,” and says Vega looks like someone walked out of a cosplay convention.
There are some bright spots.
He praises Roman Reigns as Akuma, likes the anime portions, and says some of the action and effects work.
He even spotted what he thinks is a Zack Snyder influence in the cinematography and color grading.
Final score:
2 out of 5.
And Magnus says if the whole movie had been made like the anime sequences, “I think it’d be a hit.”
Instead, he calls it one of the worst movies he’s ever seen.
