What if they were charged with keep our kids, topsoil, and water?
What if all the Midwest ag colleges at the major universities were singularly tasked with preventing or reversing the outmigration of the rural Midwest to other regions of the country? As a group, not separate and “competing” with each other for checkoff research dollars.🛳️

A teacher earning $60,000 pays Social Security taxes on every dollar she earns. A worker earning $184,500 does, too. But someone earning $1 million pays the tax on just the first $184,500. Nothing more. Yes, the country’s billionaires pay into Social Security as if they make $184,500. That doesn’t make sense. So I have a bill to eliminate this arbitrary cap on Social Security taxes. If those with the highest incomes just paid the same share as everyone else, we could inject around $3 TRILLION into the program over the next 10 years. I'm fighting hard to protect Social Security.

If you survive execution twice, shouldn’t you be nominated for sainthood? Plus a murder at 18 isn’t with a mature brain and her childhood was horrible. Where is our grace, Tennessee? You god fearing Christians should be afraid of the fires of hell for this stunt.

With today's 31-13 victory over Michigan State, Nebraska improves to 9-1 in palindrome games all time. Their last was a 42-24 win over Rutgers in 2014. The only loss occurred in 1948 against Oklahoma, 14-41

At the same Dallas speech excerpted here, Vance named two women, one born in Somalia, as the face of Medicaid fraud, a 46 million dollar case. He did not mention Lawrence Duran, who ran a 205 million dollar Medicare fraud scheme, the largest of its kind at the time, and was sentenced to 50 years. Trump commuted that sentence, wiping out the 87 million dollars in restitution Duran had been ordered to repay. He also did not mention Robert Harshbarger, husband of sitting Republican Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger, pardoned last November after pleading guilty to distributing unapproved Chinese kidney dialysis drugs as FDA approved medication. Independent estimates put the total restitution and penalties wiped out by Trump's healthcare fraud pardons somewhere between one and two billion dollars, money owed to Medicare, Medicaid, and the patients those programs cover that nobody is getting back. Vance picked the immigrant for the speech and skipped the numbers that actually move.
“The country is almost certainly dirtier, poorer, less prosperous, and in some ways less safe than in 2024. But that’s not because of Democrats or immigrants. It’s because of the people currently running the place.” theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0…

People who Complain about High Prices forget what it was like before the Iranian War. When Americans laid awake in their beds at night, fearful that an Iranian nuke would come crashing through their roof at any moment. Poverty is a Small Price to Pay for a Good Night’s Sleep.

Wheat used to be planted coast to coast 🌾 It only took 50 years of US agricultural policy, consumer appetite, and worldwide competition to change that 🇺🇸 Wheat is now the third largest planted crop in the US with acres down almost 40% since 1975 🫡

This is brilliant. Health insurance is broken beyond the point of absurdity. I’m convinced that @joinCrowdHealth is going to become a massive company. It's a marketer's dream—a far better product for a much lower price. (Stay tuned for an announcement. 🤫)
