Texans for Lawsuit Reform wants you to believe they’re “bipartisan.” That’s a lie with a logo on it. They support Sharia. They spent over $3 million trying to take out Ken Paxton in the 2022 primary and even donated to John Cornyn. They’ve written checks to Democrats who fight election integrity, fight redistricting, and fight to put boys in girls’ sports. During COVID, their leadership pushed vaccine and mask mandates. Now they want a pat on the head for being “team players” while they sit out the fights that actually matter and keep cozy with the same Democrats who would rather see Texas burn than see Paxton win. James Talarico sat on the Texas House Committees that steered millions of dollars in state contracts to a consulting firm that was paying him an annual salary of over $80,000. The guy has spent this entire race throwing stones from glass houses.

Team Talarico completely ignoring context and the facts around a case again! A jury hung. They started off 6-6, and became 7-5. The judge then declared a mistrial, and the child victim did not want to testify again. The victim's testimony, is cited as a probable reason the jury hung, as the child had recanted and changed portions of his account. So the jury was split. So after this what was done? After the trial ended, the prosecutors Branda Cantu, and Dorian Cotlar, (huh neither of these are Ken Paxton) offered a deal. Neither were new to the job. Cantu appears to have negotiated the deal, and after the judge suggested a longer sentence, then renegotiated a 30 day sentence, after which the mother of the victim said it wasn't enough, and the judge ordered a 60 day jail sentence. Why didn't Hoffman end up on the sex offender registry? The two crimes Hoffman pleaded guilty to, Indecent Assault and Display of Harmful Material to a Minor, are Class A misdemeanors and are not reportable convictions under Texas's sex offender registration law. Hoffman has since moved to Nebraska, and due to Nebraska laws, he is a registered sex offender in that state, due to his conviction in Texas.
