I've been saying this for years. The problem is the void in a dangerous world like ours. We saw it in Iraq, we're seeing it in Gaza, to some extent in Syria if the U.S. hadn't propped up Al-Sharaa. The UN cannot exist in this form with its present leadership and personnel. Its leaders and staff must be imprisoned. I like the idea of Gitmo. But abolishing it outright would not make sense.
