If you have an EVject, continue to use it! This breakaway device is there to mitigate damage in emergencies. It was and still is a genius idea.
If you don’t have one, consider getting one. They allow you to escape, and now, without ripping out the charging equipment in the process.
Still very happy to see Tesla recognize the risk and provide a solution, but this is still a less destructive option. You are of course responsible for damages if you break their charger, but your life is worth more than a charger, so don’t hesitate if you need it.

Newsflash: Cybertruck likely stands up to IED's equal to or better than an MRAP.
For those not aware, NASA certified the Cybertruck as an Astronaut Emergency Egress Vehicle, allowing SpaceX to replace their aging MRAPs.
If something goes wrong on the pad, the crew needs to get as far away as possible, as quickly as possible, and Cybertruck provides that speed and protection.
A NASA spokesperson said that both the agency and SpaceX "assessed the capability of the vehicle for all situations that would be encountered in an emergency and found that the Cybertruck met NASA’s requirements."

A mom at school drop off said her 13yo son loved my Cybertruck and always wanted to see one. I offered to let him look inside. After he did he got emotional and wiped his eyes, and his mom said “you ok? Dream come true, right?”
