Nuit du 18 au 19 octobre. D’après Volodymyr Zelensky, la Russie tire 16 missiles balistiques, en deux vagues, sur Kyiv et sa région. Au moins un mort, huit blessés. L’Ukraine indique n’avoir reçu aucun avertissement de ses partenaires avant la première vague. Elle en a reçu un avant la seconde.
Quelques heures plus tôt, Zelensky disait que les États-Unis avaient repris le partage du renseignement sur ces tirs.
Lundi, interrogé depuis Samarkand, Marco Rubio affirme qu’il n’y a eu « aucune pause » dans ce partage. Sur la nuit précédente : « Je ne sais pas exactement ce qui s’est passé. » Quelques nuits plus tôt, dit-il, il y avait eu « un problème logiciel » dans le système d’alerte précoce ukrainien (ma traduction).
Soyons précis. Un missile balistique arrive par nature avec très peu de préavis. Et je n’ai aucun élément pour trancher entre une panne et un choix.
Mais je constate le résultat : un pays dont la défense dépend d’une alerte venue d’ailleurs, et qui ne l’a pas toujours.
Une alerte précoce se partage. Elle ne devrait pas dépendre d’un seul partenaire.
L’Europe doit fournir à l’Ukraine ses propres moyens de détection : radars, satellites d’alerte, intercepteurs. MAINTENANT. #SkyShield

Simple. Give Ukraine the weapons and air defenses it needs to defend itself. Tighten sanctions, actually enforce them, cut off Russia’s war funding, and pursue accountability for war crimes.
Nobody said Putin would leave because we fucking asked nicely.
You make aggression so costly that continuing the war becomes harder than ending it.
And here’s a better question: Why the fuck should Ukraine have to surrender its freedom because Putin refuses to respect its sovereignty?

He says everyone needs to “grow up” about foreign policy, and that it’s a good thing for the US, Russia, and China, to talk to each other.
The public have to be reprogrammed. They have been conditioned for decades to believe that Russia and China are our enemies, and that’s just how it has to be forever. When in reality, it doesn’t have to be that way. In fact, that line of thinking is archaic, and can only lead to an eventual global conflict.
The truth is, the US, Russian, and Chinese Militaries, all understand that war between any of the three nuclear superpowers would be detrimental to the world, and nobody wants that.
And if you want to go big picture 40,000 feet, Trump, Putin, and Xi, all share a common enemy, the transnational criminal organization known as the Deep State. I think all three of these leaders have come to an agreement to wipe the Deep State from the planet, and then after we get done riding the world of this evil organization destabilizing the globe, the three superpowers will be responsible for their spheres of influence, and work together as global partners instead of adversaries.
You are witnessing the dawning of a new age, with a new global power structure, and new rules of engagement, that protect sovereign nations and their People.

Many MAGA supporters adamantly believe the invasion of Ukraine by Putin should be no concern whatsoever to the U.S. I wonder how many of them are aware of this fact, and how many simply don’t give a crap. Not caring about past promises is very MAGA.
Ukraine gave up a nuclear arsenal valued at over $1 trillion dollars, including 4,500 nuclear warheads. Guess who asked Ukraine to do this? We did.

I sent a letter to the editor of the newspaper; the Telegraph returned to me with the promise of investigation. It lasted till the evening, and I was informed that “it is not suggested that this was a direct quote from the interview” and that the newspaper alerted the tile. However, the alteration still suggests that I somehow insist of “surrender of Ukraine” and nothing has been changed in the text. I informed the Telegraph that by misinterpreting my position, the publication has jeopardized not only my reputation but also my security, as many people are now furious, including national radicals in Ukraine. The conclusion is defamatory and deeply inaccurate. So far, the Telegraph did not provide me with the recording as I requested. I hope they will be in touch and introduce more changes as I requested by withdrawing the word “surrender” and any synonym to it.
