It is particularly disturbing that Texas is the chosen ground for this assault. Where are all those who scream about keeping religion out of schools when it comes to the Ten Commandments & the bible? Are they fine with religion in schools as long as it is not Christianity? The majority of people in Texas recognize this as a threat. Some of their leaders seem to have forgotten they were elected to serve them & uphold the will of the people.

Muslim Community Network says it has secured $4 million in government funds to buy a permanent Cultural and Education Center at 866 Second Avenue, steps from the United Nations. The group’s own pitch states, "MCN has raised $4 million in public funds to purchase the lots."

Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine’s office allocated $2 million in fiscal 2026 toward acquiring that condominium. City Council capital records add about $1.23 million more from then-Speaker Adrienne Adams, Keith Powers, Julie Menin, and Gale Brewer.

The same organization told Congress to starve the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. Executive Director Husein Yatabarry submitted testimony on H.R. 5401 accusing the museum of allowing "anti-Muslim rhetoric" in its exhibits.

"I urge the Subcommittee to withhold additional funding until these necessary changes are made," Yatabarry wrote. He wanted a multifaith review panel and an academic council so the museum would stop, in his view, conflating Islam with al-Qaeda.

MCN signed a coalition letter with CAIR-NY and Emgage NY that attacked the museum’s "The Rise of Al Qaeda" film for lacking a "more balanced perspective." That museum sits on the site where the 9/11 attacks took 2,977 lives.

MCN was founded in 2003 after those attacks and says it now serves about 10,000 New Yorkers a year from rented space. Its slogan is "Muslims Defining Our Own Narrative."

Its Impact Academy markets courses on "Islamophobia & Its Impact" and how to "counter harmful narratives." Those trainings are sold to public schools, city agencies, hospitals, and libraries.

Other sessions cover responding to ICE and signing people up for SNAP, WIC, and Medicaid. The New York Post documented nearly $2.5 million in City Council discretionary funds flowing to MCN since 2014, including $245,000 from Speaker Adams in one fiscal year.

Board chair Debbie Almontaser left Khalil Gibran International Academy in 2007 after defending "Intifada NYC" T-shirts. House Oversight later flagged her firm Bridging Cultures and MCN for millions more in city contracts and school trainings.

MCN also signed a January 2026 letter telling Congress to halt ICE and Border Patrol money. "Congress must refuse to provide one dollar," that letter said.

Teresa Ochoa, 31, went on local TV complaining that ICE roughed up her 17-year-old son after he filmed one of their operations in Alamo, Texas.
A few days later, ICE showed up outside the restaurant where she worked as a cook, arrested her, and deported her to Mexico that same day.
One pretty important detail she left out of the interview: she had already been deported in 2025 and illegally entered the country again.
Going on television probably wasn’t the smartest move when ICE was already looking for you. They watch the news too. 😂

The Labor Department has 30 DAYS to begin reviewing previously submitted H-1B Labor Condition Applications to determine whether action against sponsoring employers is warranted.

A company lays off thousands of American tech workers.
Then turns around and says it needs H-1B workers.
The government is now explicitly being told:

Emilia Winter Rowland, Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s director of new media and cultural communications, is at the center of scrutiny over the administration’s growing influencer operation. Rowland oversees a Signal network that reportedly distributes City Hall talking points, press releases and other material to roughly 250 influencers, raising questions about how the administration shapes its public messaging.
Rowland previously worked on Mamdani’s 2025 mayoral campaign and has defended the use of influencers while criticizing traditional media as being controlled by wealthy corporate interests. Yet reports have highlighted her own family and public-relations connections, adding another layer to the debate over the administration’s messaging strategy.
The influencer network reportedly grew out of Creators4Zohran and includes smaller Signal chats targeting specific audiences, including parenting influencers. City Hall says working with creators reflects how New Yorkers increasingly consume news, but officials have declined to publicly identify all members of the network or provide complete details about related contracts.
The use of Signal has also raised concerns about government transparency. At least one chat was reportedly configured to automatically delete messages, potentially creating conflicts with public-record and retention requirements. As Mamdani’s administration relies increasingly on influencers to communicate with New Yorkers, critics are asking whether government messaging is receiving the transparency it deserves, especially when the public may not be able to see who is involved, what relationships are being funded and what official communications may have disappeared.
