Lost trust in Gname - FRST(.)com
3 days ago, the auction for FRST(.)com ended at Sav. Sav’s bidding system is atrocious and Gname provided the ability for proxy bids.
Strangely enough, FRST(.)com closed at $10,100 on Gname. While it closed at $5,655 on Sav. Apparently Gname did not submit the proxy bids to Sav.
The name was delivered to the winner on Sav and rightly so. However, what does Gname do to take responsibility? They ONLY offered $100 in credits for a name that is valued at 6 figures.
IMO it is honestly insulting and shows that they care 0 for domainers and don’t value you, me or anyone.
My recommendation: If you are seriously bidding for a name, AVOID Gname.

Fantastic news on the sell side! This might be the tide that lifts all boats.
On the buy side (as a domainer) this might make it more difficult to buy low since owners often search for appraisals.
GODADDY LAUNCHES NEW APPRAISAL SYSTEM
GoDaddy, the #1 domain company in the world, is now appraising domain names for more than $25,000.

First sale of the year! (finally) @atomHQ
Couldn't wait any longer, so I did some outbound. Quoted them a fair price, win-win for both sides.
Paid through an AtomPay link so they covered the fees.
Cost: $560 - HT: 21 days

This issue Mike Mann shares his story 👀
When investing in premium names, the question shifts from “Will it sell?” to “At what price will it sell?”
A premium name can always sell, even at wholesale.
Thanks Page @joedomains for articulating this simple yet powerful idea to me in 2025 🙏
Used to post in April, but let’s shift to January. Here’s an 8-month update of using @atomHQ. My portfolio now has 143 domains.
✅ 7 names sold
💰 Average sale price (net): $7,931
📈 Average ROI of sale: 831%
Realised I've been doubling my portfolio value each year since 2023!
Another year using @atomHQ. My portfolio now has 87 #domains. Here are the highlights:
✅ 4 names sold
💰 Average sale price (net): $19,224
📈 Average ROI of sale: 196% (low due to 1 sale at cost price)
I reinvested some profits and increased my portfolio value by 2.1 times!
Comparing the portfolio from the previous year:
🤖 More focus on tech related names
🏷️ More names priced in the 10k+ range
📝 Short names had a big increase (4L/5L)
Despite investing in bigger names, most of my sales was around 10K or less. So I should still focus on this area
