Carney's Net Zero agenda will decimate Canada. No one wants more expensive low-carbon oil.
The only interests he's serving are his own.
The "dangerous and divided world" he keeps going on about is of his own making
It all makes sense now:
-Why Carney is allowing the pipeline
-Why he suddenly cares about the ocean
-Why he appointed his wife as ocean Envoy
Building this Pacific Link pipeline is just an excuse to bring in the carbon credit market and he's leveraging the ocean to do it.

Just because @Dave_Eby says something doesn’t mean it might actually happen - reassured me on a Wednesday/Thursday that he had my back until 3 days later when he didn’t. What he says and what he does are not necessarily the same thing.
Eby was asked 3xs this week about cancelling the grocery rebate, promised last election. He pointed to the lost revenue from the carbon tax as the reason. But that carbon tax pledge (conditional on the Feds doing the same) was made 17 days before the grocery rebate one. #bcpoli

We're once again teaching the world about what civilization should look like.
Other peoples still confuse civilization with order, obedience and intact street furniture. France has moved beyond such provincial definitions.
We know that a society only becomes truly enlightened when its citizens are educated enough to express their HUMAN RIGHTS through fire.
For centuries, France explained universalism to less fortunate peoples with missionaries, administrators, soldiers and schoolmasters.
Today the pedagogy has become more democratic. The curriculum is delivered directly in the street: liberty by insubordination, equality by generalised inconvenience, fraternity by collective property damage.
We do not riot because civilization has failed.
We riot because, as usual, France has decided civilization is not ambitious enough.
Don't say we have gone soft since the French Revolution!

Vassy asked the question. Less than a year ago the Prime Minister said if there is not a private-sector proponent, there will not be a pipeline. Tim Hodgson’s answer was that the world has become more dangerous and divided. That is the spin. It is not an answer.
A more dangerous world does not repeal C-48. A more divided world does not repeal Bill C-69. The Oil Tanker Moratorium Act still stands. Royal assent June 21, 2019. Current to September 21, 2026. No oil tanker over 12,500 metric tons may moor or load on the north coast. The route was moved south so that ban did not have to move. The Impact Assessment Act is still the gate. Private money still did not step up.
Pacific Link was listed on October 1, eighteen days before Alberta votes. Construction cannot start before September 1, 2027. Oil in the line around 2032 or 2033, if it is ever built. The price is already $35.2 billion to $43.7 billion. Ottawa and Alberta hold the equity. Pembina takes 10 per cent. The taxpayer is the backstop. Maximum exposure is still TBD. That was the honest line, and the chyron buried it.
Mark Carney. Tim Hodgson. The dangerous-and-divided line is a slogan for a question you would not answer. TMX was the last lesson. Kinder Morgan walked. Ottawa bought it. About $5.4 billion became near $34 billion. Same party. Same dodge.
If this is a priority, the boots are on the ground now, and C-48 and C-69 come off the books. If the first dirt is 2027, say that. Stop selling a crisis so you do not have to say the statute is still the lock.
