Here is the breakdown from the Architect himself:
Rarity is based on a few things. Class and race rarity are generated separately. Here are the chances (roughly) for specific class tiers:
Tier 1 (white) - 50%
Tier 2 - 25%
Tier 3 - 15%
Tier 4 - 7%
All races have defined percentages for each race in order of rarity from least rare to most rare.
Race 1 - 60%
Race 2 - 15%
Race 3 - 12%
Race 4 - 5%
Race 5 - 1.3%
Race 6 - 1%
Race 7 - 0.5%
Race 8 - 0.2%
Note: anything that is race 4 or higher (ape) is guaranteed to get rarity tier 3+.
