Peter Obi has ruled out stepping down for Atiku Abubakar ahead of 2027. In a recent interview, Obi said any decision about an opposition alliance must be made by the political parties involved, not by individual candidates. He refused to commit to withdrawing for Atiku. His running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has also stated clearly that they will not withdraw their candidature for the ADC or any other party. The talk of a single opposition candidate is facing serious resistance from the Obi-Kwankwaso side.

Isaac Fayose reportedly sent ₦1 million to Larry, an aide to Nyesom Wike, during a recent giveaway. This raises a serious question. How do people who publicly defend this government and insist that things are working still find themselves collecting money from online giveaways? You cannot be benefiting from the system, praising the same system, and then quietly stretching your hand when someone is sharing money. If the policies of this government are truly working for you, there should be no need to hide behind giveaways. And if the system is not favouring you, then have the courage to say so openly instead of defending it in public and collecting help in private. This double standard is becoming too common.

If VeryDarkMan can hold other people accountable, he also can be held accountable. I don’t understand what EFCC has been turned into
A Nigerian man submits a petition to the EFCC against VeryDarkMan, seeking accountability over his NGO account. He shared the response he received from the EFCC, adding that he is willing to honour an invitation if more information is required.

Dear Nigerians, I’m not here to tell you who to vote for. I only want to remind you that a bag of cement that used to cost ₦4,000–₦5,000 in 2023 is now ₦14,000. A litre of fuel that used to be ₦200–₦250 is now around ₦1,500. Do whatever you like with this information. But if another mistake is made in 2027, some people may end up running to Ghana and Gabon as refugees. Think carefully.

Let me correct something. It's not that a woman who likes you will never ask you for money. That's not true. A girl who likes you can still ask for money, just like you can ask her when you need to. The difference is in how. A girl who genuinely likes you cares about what you think of her and how you see her. She'll do almost anything to protect that image. She doesn't want to come across as a gold digger or like she's only with you for money. Every woman likes money, that's not the issue. It's about how she handles it. If she does ask, she'll be reasonable about it. She asks when she actually needs it, and she'll even consider whether you're in a position to help before she brings it up. If she's not sure, she won't ask at all. Women who genuinely like you are considerate. They'll offer to help you financially too when you need it. Women actually spend on men they love. But when they don't like you, none of that matters to them. They don't care how you see them or how their actions make you feel. Women can be ruthless like that. They see being with you as doing you a favor, and the only benefit they're after is milking you dry.

VDM just dropped a video saying he has picked his presidential candidate. Yet he refuses to tell Nigerians who that person is. This is the same VDM who jumps into every online controversy the moment people start tagging him. He will come out and say, “I’ve been saying this for a long time, people have been tagging me, so here’s my take.” But when Nigerians are asking him a simple question; who are you voting for? he suddenly becomes careful and starts giving excuses. This is why many people believe VDM does not take Nigerians seriously. You cannot claim to listen to the people and then ignore them when it does not suit you. Nobody is asking you to campaign for anybody. Nobody is asking you to decide for Nigerians. We are only asking who you personally support. If you can speak on every gist, every scandal, and every fight online, then you can also tell us who you are voting for. This two-sided game is becoming too obvious.

VDM fans are in my comment section again. One man says something and your entire day is ruined. You leave your work, leave your life, and come online to fight strangers because somebody questioned your oga. That is not loyalty. That is lack of sense. You have allowed one person to control your emotions and your time. He posts, you react. He attacks, you attack. He is quiet, you are quiet. At what point do you start thinking for yourselves?

This little boy was caught on Friday afternoon inside someone's home while stealing money. The homeowner said his money had gone missing without a trace. On that day, he decided to lock himself inside to see how his money would disappear. Unfortunately, this little boy appeared from the bathroom window. Please, be cautious and security-aware.

For those always saying VDM has dragged Wizkid or Burna Boy, I honestly don’t see it that way. With Wizkid, VDM only advised him not to insult Fela’s legacy and instead face Seun Kuti if he has any issue. That was not an insult. It was advice. There is a difference between attacking someone and telling them to be careful with how they speak about legends. With Burna Boy, VDM only advised him to reduce the constant display of buying cars and instead think more about how to impact the society. Again, that is not dragging. That is constructive criticism. Dragging is when you attack someone’s character, family, or continuously pull them down without any positive direction. What VDM did in both cases was point out something and offer an alternative. People should learn the difference between advice and attack. Not every correction is hate.

World Poverty Day: Why Nigeria Should Have Declared Today a Public Holiday Today is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Sadly, Nigeria has become a symbol of the global poverty crisis. The rising poverty rate, from 40.1 per cent in 2019 to 56.2 per cent in 2023 and an estimated 63 per cent in 2026, shows how a country can move progressively backwards while those in authority appear unconcerned. Millions of Nigerians are now struggling to live, to afford food, and access healthcare. Yet, government narratives often paint a different picture. What meaning does economic growth have when citizens are getting poorer, hungrier, and more insecure? Progress must be measured by improvements in people’s lives. As poverty deepens, the government should genuinely show concern. Perhaps today should have been declared a public holiday, not for celebration, but for national reflection on how a country so richly endowed with human and natural resources has allowed poverty to overcome it. Poverty is not Nigeria’s destiny. With competent leadership, prudent management of public resources, investment in education and healthcare, and support for agriculture and small businesses, we can reverse this trend. A new Nigeria where no citizen goes to bed hungry and where every citizen lives in dignity is POssible and OK. -PO
