Please continue to deploy Curtis Sliwa like this. The mutual personal affection is delightful.

Angels - all of them☘️
A Night of Relentless Rain and Unwavering Compassion We arrived at the GPO just after 6pm to set up, and the rain was already lashing off the ground. We knew it would be a difficult night. The shelter at the GPO can only protect so many people, and when the queues are long, many are left standing in the rain—waiting for two bags of food and a hot meal. Tonight, the rain showed no mercy. People were soaked through, with rain dripping from their hair and faces. Our volunteers were soaked too; not one of us stayed dry. It was heartbreaking to see so many people queuing in such miserable conditions. We often hear people ask whether everyone who comes to the soup run is really in need. Nights like this bring home the hardship people are facing. Behind every person in that queue is someone who needs a meal, warmth and a little kindness. A huge shout-out to the wonderful lads from Gonzaga School. They were drenched, but still had smiles on their faces and welcomed everyone with compassion and empathy. We were also joined by four volunteers from Spotify, who brought so much warmth, care and kindness to the table. Thank you, too, to all our regular volunteers who showed up and gave so generously on such a rough night. Despite the weather, our tables were laden with food. We were truly blessed to have just under 400 meals from the restaurants, along with plenty of other food to share. We also gave out tents, sleeping bags, clothing, dry socks and hygiene bags to people who needed them. We could not keep this work going without your constant support. Thank you to everyone who donates, volunteers and stands with us. If you would like to support the soup run, please tap the donate button: msoe.ie/donate/ From all the team at the GPO, have a lovely weekend—and thank you for helping us bring care and compassion to people, whatever the weather.

Teachers can’t even give kids Tylenol without their parents’ permission. If you believe this you’re a fucking idiot.

Sadly, the President is out of touch. Where’s the compassion or empathy for the woman ? Jane Doe is brave to fight for her story to be told and in fairness for the case to be reopened.

Mayor Mamdani, thank you for protecting Jewish New Yorkers as Jews. We have no relationship to the State of Israel and are not responsible for its actions. Do not conscript them.
The Talmud teaches that anyone who sustains one soul, has sustained an entire world. For generations, Jewish New Yorkers have sustained our city. Today, we are launching the first-ever municipal Strategy to Combat Antisemitism. Together, we will ensure Jewish New Yorkers are safe and celebrated. We will invest in their protection, their history, and their future. Our safety and our thriving are tied together.

Too often, homeless New Yorkers cycle from our hospitals to our streets — making it harder to continue treatment and find long-term stability.  The City's Bridge to Home program in Manhattan ends the cycle by providing a safe place for New Yorkers to live while they receive medical care, apply to jobs, and find an apartment. The program has been a massive success. Today, we’re expanding Bridge to Home to Brooklyn and Queens, so more New Yorkers get the help they need.
