🚨 Hear me out… I’m sick of pretending this is a functioning country with a functioning government. Congress is not “divided.” It’s not “gridlocked.” It’s not “just politics.” It is a criminal class of 535 people who have spent decades selling this country piece by piece while lecturing the rest of us about democracy, values, and the rule of law. They pass spending bills they don’t read. They pile debt on people who weren’t even born yet. They take money from foreign interests, lobbyists, PACs, and industries they regulate, then act shocked when anyone calls it what it is: influence-peddling. They protect their own. They investigate their enemies. They never investigate themselves with the same hunger. The worst part isn’t even the money. It’s the moral rot. A government that can lecture parents, churches, and working people about morality while shielding predators, burying files, redacting names, and treating elite sex-crime networks like a scheduling inconvenience has no moral authority left. If the same evidence, the same flight logs, the same sealed names, and the same “we can’t comment” stonewalling applied to anyone outside their class, those people would already be in prison. For this crowd, it becomes “complicated,” “ongoing,” or “not the right time.” Foreign interference isn’t some abstract threat they discovered last week. It’s a business model. They take the money, take the trips, take the talking points, then wrap themselves in the flag and tell you anyone who notices is a conspiracy theorist. They will fight harder to protect their donors and their secrets than they will fight to protect the border, the budget, or the people who actually pay for all of it. I don’t hate “government” as an idea. I hate this government, the one that treats citizens like a revenue stream, treats accountability like an attack, and treats the most disgusting crimes as a club you only get punished for if you’re not connected. No more polite language. No more “both sides” anesthesia. If Congress had a shred of honor left, they would open every sealed file, name every protector, cut the foreign cash pipelines, and submit themselves to the same laws they impose on everyone else. They won’t. That’s the point. They are not public servants. They are a protected class. And the country is rotting under them. - B

Imagine paying more for interest on the debt than national defense? Oh wait...
BREAKING: The US Government officially posts its largest July budget deficit in history, at -$432 billion, due to an acceleration in federal spending. Interest on US debt rose +$26 billion from last July's levels to an alarming $118 billion for the month. This puts total interest expense for FY2026 up to $1.17 trillion in FY2026. As a result, interest expense has officially surpassed both National Defense and Medicare spending. In other words, the US government now spends more money just on interest than it does to fund the entire US Military or to provide healthcare for seniors. We cannot afford higher interest rates.

“Most people don’t realize how bad this is … ” Shawn Ryan just had a “holy shit” moment. Mike Rowe dropped stats that expose a massive ticking time bomb. “There’s 7.5 million open jobs.” “Most don’t require a 4-year degree.” But “student debt is $1.7 trillion.” “We’re lending money we don’t have to these same kids who are never going to be able to pay it back to train them for a bunch of jobs that don’t exist anymore.” “It’s stupid.” “You’ve got 6.9 million able-bodied men who are not only not working, they’re not looking for work.” “That’s never happened.” “We have a colossal imbalance in the workforce.” “Not a week goes by, I’m not even exaggerating, that mikeroweWORKS doesn’t hear from the leader of some consequential industry or the CEO of a big company or some elected official who is really ringing the alarm bell.” “Blue Forge Alliance, the company that oversees the maritime industrial base … they’re 15,000 companies who are collectively charged with delivering our nuclear-powered subs.” “They called, they’re like: we’re having a hell of a time finding welders and electricians, can you help?” “I said: maybe, how many you need?” “400,000.” @mikeroweworks @ShawnRyan762

America Taxes Itself, Again! The United States smelts roughly 30 percent less aluminium than it uses. Washington’s solution was a 50 percent tariff on imports, on the theory that new smelters would simply appear. They did not. One costs about five billion dollars and takes five years, and an idled Kentucky plant has already been converted into a data centre. The bill is arriving on schedule. The Midwest premium, around 600 dollars a tonne before the tariffs, has passed 2,500. American manufacturers now pay close to 6,000 dollars a tonne while everyone else pays 3,500. Detroit will hand that on to whoever buys the next pickup. Canada, meanwhile, cannot sell south and has redirected record volumes across the Atlantic instead. European buyers get the metal at a discount to what Americans pay. Americans get the shortage, the invoice, and the patriotic satisfaction of having done it entirely to themselves. Canada’s boreal forest — the source of much of the wildfire smoke drifting into the U.S. — isn’t like our managed forests in the lower 48. It’s the largest intact forest ecosystem on Earth: roughly 1.3 billion acres (about 78 times larger than Alaska’s Tongass, our biggest national forest, and 7 times larger than all 154 U.S. National Forests combined). It stretches in an almost continuous belt from the Yukon to Newfoundland. Why can’t they just do controlled burns like we do here? Because most of it is remote, roadless wilderness. • Less than 9% of Canada’s population lives in the boreal region. • Less than 1% of the forest itself is developed. • Vast areas have no roads and are only accessible by aircraft or winter roads. You can’t send crews in to do prescribed burns across a billion+ acres of inaccessible terrain the way we can in populated areas near roads and communities in the U.S. Wildfire has been nature’s primary management tool in these ecosystems for thousands of years. Smoke reaching the Northeast isn’t new either. It happened in 1950, 1988, 1995, 2002, 2017, 2021, 2023, 2025, and now 2026. Weather (especially upper-level wind patterns) determines where the smoke goes, not just where the fires are burning. Blaming Canada’s government for “not controlling” these fires is political theater. The scale and inaccessibility make large-scale suppression or prevention across that wilderness fundamentally different — and in many places, practically impossible — from managing forests near U.S. population centers. Nature runs that forest. Politicians don’t. Let’s stop pretending otherwise.

Climate change. Canada’s boreal forest is far north. Most parts of it only reach 64F (18C) averages in the heat of the summer. Its density and climate also means it gets very little evaporation compared to its rainfall, and is subject to frost 9 months of the year, and heavy fog the rest of the time. This kept this biome very humid, kept soil damp, and left most of the low level foliage coated in dew all day long. Some parts of the forest even had thick levels of permafrost beneath the topsoil that on rare hot days would seep water back into the ecosystem. Just as many wildfires started by lightning strike in previous decades as now. The difference is they struggled to catch and spread in this damp environment. Now extreme dry weather, record breaking heat, northern thaw, erode that protective moisture barrier, leaving the boreal forest vulnerable especially in the more southern parts. Boreal forests previously went through this process naturally when an over density caused a drier environment you’d get high-intensity crown fires that were cyclical. Every 50-200 years depending on region. Now we get them annually. Boreal forest fires are much more severe than others too. The long history of cyclical burns means the soil contains charcoal, the thick multi-layer foliage adds fodder and causes the fire to spread quickly, and pine, spruce, and aspens are all some of the trees with both the most density and the best for wood burning. It results in towering forest fires of immense heat and rapid spread. These forests are denser than anything else in North America or Europe, and the current fire in Ontario alone, is the same square mileage as the entire state of Delaware. From the time it ignited, to covering that size, took less than 20 hours. While some in the US still think climate change is a hoax, we are all going to deal with the consequences of it, as we’ve turned the largest forest in the world into a tinder box, and fires in less than 0.01% of it drowns the entire continent in smoke.
Will someone explain why we didn't get this Canadian smoke in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, or 2010s? Now twice in the 2020s. Seems weird to me

To our American friends, this is a map of forests in North America. 347 million hectares of wilderness in highly remote areas cannot be contained by “proper forest management”. These are enormous, mostly uninhabited areas that are prone to lightning strikes causing wildfires.

"Just put the fires out!" Ever seen a boreal wildfire? I have. I used to fight them. When fire behaviour becomes extreme, you're not getting close to them. The radiant heat from a crown fire is face-melting from hundreds of metres away. All attempts at direct attack will fail, because dropping water on it becomes akin to trying to spit on a campfire...it evaporates before it even hits the flames. Additionally, reduced visibility, high winds, and turbulence makes aerial attack hazardous. As a wildland firefighter, I've been extracted off of wildfires twice as our fires blew up, both times having our gear burned over. We returned to find firehoses and metal melted into the ash. I've seen fireballs launched hundreds of feet high, and fires intense enough to produce lightning, influencing the weather around them. I've seen wildfires grow to the size of a major city in a short period of time. So no, we can't just put the fire out. Not being able to stop such a natural process is a truly humbling feeling.

Photo 1 (widely shared 2023 version): Mitch McConnell and Elaine Chao in a recovery/rehab setting. McConnell wears the red gingham shirt, smiles broadly while holding printed material, seated in the blue chair with white linens behind Photo 2 (the version associated with the July 12, 2026 update): Appears identical to Photo 1 in every visible detail — same clothing, exact same pose and expressions, same background, same blue chair, same item in McConnell’s hand, same lighting and composition. Side-by-side observation: These are the same photograph (originally from April 2023). No meaningful differences exist in subject positioning, clothing, facial expressions, background elements, or any other visual detail. Minor variations in cropping, resolution, or on-screen overlays (e.g., news logos or borders in different articles) may appear depending on the source, but the core image content is unchanged. This confirms the image being referenced in recent discussions is the older one being recirculated. If you have different specific versions/URLs in mind, share them for further comparison! Someone has some splaining to do!
#GVerse They lied there is no proof of life from Mitch McConnell team. The conclusion they are covering his likely demise especially with the news about Lindsey Graham. Now it seems 2 out 3 could be the assumption: Grok assumption: "The two images you’re referring to (the widely circulated 2023 photo and the one presented/re-released in connection with the July 12, 2026 health update) are visually identical. Here’s a side-by-side comparison based on direct viewing: Subject and pose: Both show Sen. Mitch McConnell seated in a medical/rehab-style chair (blue armrest visible), wearing the exact same red-and-white gingham/checkered button-down shirt. He is smiling broadly with his mouth open, glasses on, left hand resting on or holding a partially visible item (appears to be printed material/newspaper at bottom left), right hand on his lap. Elaine Chao sits to his right (viewer’s left in the frame) in a white collared blouse, smiling, with her arm positioned similarly near him. Background and setting: Identical beige wall, white sheets/pillows behind them, and the same blue-and-wood chair/armrest details. Lighting, shadows, and overall composition match precisely. Expressions and details: McConnell’s facial expression, head tilt, hand positions, and visible skin/hair details are the same. Chao’s expression, hair, and posture align exactly. No discernible differences in clothing wrinkles, object placement, or environmental elements. Conclusion: These are the same photograph originally released by McConnell’s team in April 2023 to document his recovery after an earlier fall and concussion. There are no visible differences in content, angle, lighting, or any other detail that would indicate a new or updated image. The reuse of this exact older photo in the current context explains the ongoing discussion about “proof of life” imagery. If you have specific pixel-level differences, crops, or alternate versions in mind (e.g., with added text overlays or different resolutions), provide the exact URLs or more details for further verification."

It’s imperative that we revert to STANDARD, not Daylight time, for two reasons, one of which you may have never considered. You know the first: solar noon is closest to 12 o’clock all year. That means an equal number of hours before and after noon each day. This also means earlier sunrises which are significantly better for establishing a healthy circadian rhythm. The second reason is that nearly ONE THIRD of US counties are in the wrong timezone. A significant swath of the country isn’t only an artificial hour ahead because of daylight time… but TWO HOURS ahead of true solar time. Year-round daylight time, especially without recalibrating time zones, would establish this error permanently, affecting millions of Americans. We should be letting the Sun dictate the day the way God made it. Arbitrary, artificial tampering would be worse for us all. Fix the time zones and affix standard time.

Canada is and will remain free. Just ignore the crazy noises from the drunks downstairs. The U.S. is going through some things right now and we need to sort it out. In the meantime, Canada is looking outward for new trade markets and deepening ties with the EU. Bravo.
