SCN and @Jewish_Atlanta commend law enforcement for the swift arrest of Jonathan Susor, a Georgia man, following alleged social media activity urging violence against the Jewish community and its institutions. The posts were first identified by SCN, which immediately engaged the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta’s Community Security Director and Deputy Community Security Director, who worked closely with Federation leadership and law enforcement partners to ensure they were informed of the matter. SCN also issued a Be-On-the-Lookout (BOLO) notice to relevant institutions and partners to support situational awareness, while ontinuing to support law enforcement’s investigation. Atlanta’s Jewish community has a well-established security infrastructure led by the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, whose security program is managed by SCN; dedicated security professionals, to include a deployed threat management and information sharing capability; and close relationships with local law enforcement. SCN & @jaxjewish Commend Swift Law Enforcement Action Following Threats Targeting Jewish Community SCN and the Jewish Federation & Foundation of Northeast Florida commend law enforcement for the swift arrest of a Florida man on September 19, 2026, following reported threats targeting the Jewish community. The defendant has been charged in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida with one count of Interstate Transmission of a Threat to Injure the Person of Another. Statement: SCN Applauds Law Enforcement Response & Community Collaboration to Interstate Threat Campaigns Targeting Jewish Institutions and Individuals. SCN applauds the FBI and law enforcement partners following the arrest of an individual charged with sending at least five interstate antisemitic threat letters that targeted Jewish individuals, organizations, and facilities in South Florida. ​Affected organizations and community partners worked together to identify the threats, assess them, and coordinate with affected institutions, the FBI, and other agencies. These efforts helped law enforcement link threats across locations and identify biometric evidence connecting the suspect to the letters. Community partners included local Federations @AJCGlobal and the South Florida Regional Threat Center, a cooperative initiative between the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, the Jewish Federation of Broward County, the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, and SCN to identify threats and incidents, analyze them and work with key partners to address them.

I want to be very clear that this is not someone who is drawing a swastika or saying they don't like Jews or disagree with Israeli policy. That is someone who is threatening to maim or kill a member of the Jewish community. That is the highest number that we have tallied, 8,000 violent posts in under five days in the history of our record keeping. That's the nature of the environment.”

That investment paid off in the face of what could have been a lethal attack for the community. It certainly saved lives.”

SCN is aware of a shooting incident occurring near a Jewish facility in Baltimore. At this time, reports citing law enforcement source note that the shooting was domestic in nature; there are no indications that the Jewish community was the target, and there is no known active threat to the community.
