Good morning! Thank You Lord for this glorious day.
The deepest courage is not the absence of fear, but the quiet decision to keep walking toward the Father’s heart anyway.
Matthew 26:39
“Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.’”
Father,
in the quiet dark of Gethsemane,
Your Son saw the cup You held out—
bitter with the weight of every failure,
every hidden shame,
every tear that would ever fall.
He looked at it and whispered,
“By Your Will,
What was theirs to bear, I take as mine.”
And He drank.
Lord, that cup was mine.
The one I could not carry,
the one I tried to push away,
the one filled with what I deserved
and what I could never repay.
Yet You placed it in His hands
so that empty hearts
could finally rest in You.
Teach me,
when my own nights grow heavy,
to stop asking for the cup to pass
and start thanking You
that He already drank it dry.
Not my will, but Yours—
the strongest prayer
I know how to pray.
In Jesus Name,
Amen.
