GPT-6 Astra Pro in ChatGPT got an upgrade with faster responses and improved use of plugins and tools. And now, multiple agents can tackle different parts of a task in parallel. You can follow each agent’s progress and open completed tasks to review their work. Now available to Pro users in the Chat tab.

Multi agent parallel tasks sound useful for complex workflows. Faster responses and better tool use are welcome upgrades for Pro users.

Parallel agents that can split a task and let you track each part is useful for longer workflows. How well does coordination work when subtasks have dependencies or need to share intermediate state?

I'd like the final answer to preserve disagreements between agents, with links to the evidence behind each view. Parallel research loses much of its value if synthesis quietly flattens conflicting findings into one confident answer.

The part I care about most is the last line: being able to open each agent's work and check it. Parallel speed is nice, but seeing what each one did is what makes it safe to hand over bigger tasks.

Parallel agents with visible per-task progress is the right interface move. The bottleneck in agentic work is trust, and a review queue beats a black box. Speed was never the hard part. Knowing what ran is.

As a non-coder, the multi-agent part sounds like hiring a small team instead of one assistant. Excited to try it.

Parallel work is most useful when the pieces meet cleanly. For an app build, agreeing the API contract before splitting frontend and backend work can save a lot of reconciliation later.

Can you make it not have faster responses and be more correct, please?

Unfortunately, I’m currently using Claude, after being a ChatGPT Plus subscriber for over 3 years, the current limits just don't seem worth it anymore. I've been using Claude for 2 weeks now and haven't hit the daily limit even once, all while doing the same tasks that used to exhaust my limit on Codex within 10 hours.

Parallel agents on one task means their outputs can collide. Does each agent get its own sandbox, or do they share state while they work?

Parallel agents are great until you have to review five outputs at once. The bottleneck moves from doing the work to checking it, so good reviewers become very valuable.

Capability multiplied by limits have made OpenAI tools largely unusable except for basic tasks. Luna is about the only product today with any value with this equation.

Parallel agents shine when each owns a clear artifact (research / draft / verify). Add a cheap final judge step so they don’t silently disagree on facts before you ship.

AI agents now multitask better than me. thanks for the reminder.

Parallel agents only matter when you can audit who did what. A task board with reviewable work is the product surface enterprises will actually buy—not another chat that claims to multi-task.

parallel agents are great. following each one's progress is the part that breaks me. so mine talk now, one voice per claude code / codex session, and i switch between them by asking. they do argue back sometimes:

Parallel agents are great until two of them edit the same thing. A tip that saves hours is to give each agent one clear output section and add a final merge step. You get far fewer conflicts than when all of them touch everything.

Parallel agents, love it. My last refactor with two agents was a disaster. So the real question: more agents, fewer messes? Or same mess, multiplied? Keen to find out.

watching each agent work is nice but the open finished tasks to review part is what id actually use, i dont trust anything i cant check after

the open-and-review-each-task part is what i actually want. right now half my time with agents is working out which one broke my pipeline

Agents splitting up a task in parallel is a real shift, and being able to open each one's finished work to review is what will decide whether teams trust it. How does the progress view hold up when a task runs for hours?

Parallel agents working on different parts of a task could be a real productivity boost. Being able to track their progress and review results makes the workflow even more useful. 🚀

I ran the same task across three parallel agents. What parallelises well: retrieval and code. What does not: the decision itself. All three came back usable. Choosing between them was still my call. Multi-agent saves hands, not judgement.

exactly. chat stopped being one thread doing one thing at a time. astra pro now splits a task across agents working in parallel, and you can watch each one and review what it finished. the race is not answers anymore, its delegation. the card has the upgrade.

Multiple agents in parallel, so now I can watch several bots ignore my spreadsheet at once.

Parallel agents with visible progress is a meaningful design choice. Being able to follow each agent and open completed tasks to review the work keeps a human in the loop as tasks get split up. That reviewability will matter for enterprise adoption.

Whatever, what you guys are doing right now, sunsetting GPT4o API that has so much daily usage, is simply pushing users to Azure. And this type of BS is why Anthropic surpassed you guys this year.

I had an amazing experience with Astra today! I noticed it split work to several subagents <3 Please Sir, may I have some more?

It’s been very frustrating the past 2 days especially the cloud browser constant failure… iterating fast is great but quality testing first before release is even better!

parallel agents raise the obvious question. what happens when two of them touch the same part of a task? curious how conflicts get resolved

Faster responses in Astra Pro is what I wanted.

parallel agents is the part that matters here. most long tasks are really a few separate jobs stuck in one line, so splitting them up should cut the wait a lot. being able to open each finished piece and check it is what makes me trust it. curious how it handles two agents touching the same file.
