Black pastors and their congregations gathered outside of DNC headquarters and Third Way offices in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, demanding that the Democratic Party and its leaders put “substance over symbolism” by embracing a progressive economic agenda — Medicare for All, a federal job guarantee, tuition-free public college, and universal housing. They said pushing these policies represents the unfinished work of the Civil Rights Movement.

This is how a billionaire propaganda machine gets built.
Consolidate the media. Control more of what millions of Americans see and hear. Put even more power in the hands of fewer billionaires.
Mayor Mamdani is right to sound the alarm. A free press cannot become a billionaire’s private megaphone.
America is free only when the media is competitive, independent, and accountable to the people.
This merger strikes a chilling blow against that freedom — and hands even more power to billionaires like David Ellison to decide what Americans see and hear, all while lifting scrutiny off the federal leaders who pushed it through. I am grateful to Attorney General Tish James for the protections she secured for workers.
This decision is a shameful monument to corruption and a betrayal that the American people won't soon forget.
