#lithium does this make sense or has #China just overproduced?
Shocking numbers, not widely publicized. China car sales fell 24% in August. It's the 11th straight month of decline in world's largest market. China Car Market Sales YTD 2026 by Select Makers Tesla down 12% Toyota down 18% VW down 26% Mercedes down 29% BYD down 33% Honda down 37% Chevy (discontinued China sales in August 2026, after selling only 36 vehicles all year). In a market of 25 million units, a 24% decline represents a collapse of almost 6 million cars on an annual basis. That's the size of the entire Japan car market. There is an overproduction of internal combustion vehicles mostly by non-Chinese legacy Western brands, dealers try to clear those ICEVs stocks by offering 40-60% discount off RRPs..there is an undersupply of the best BEVs eg BYD blade 2 packs equipped with flash charging speed..

I think that the media should get their story straight 🤔
Think about this when you read a Bloomberg headline of China Car Market Crashing! “BEVs continued to lead growth. Sales reached 1.161 million in August, up 27.8% year-on-year and 8.3% month-on-month, setting a new high for the year.” #alwaysbecharging Includes exports (!)
