Guardians Nike RBI players got a behind the scenes look at how big leaguers prepare. In partnership with PBATS (the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society), our athletic training staff hosted participants in the home clubhouse weight room, training rooms, and batting cages as part of the PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) Campaign, which promotes active, healthy lifestyles. The group was also joined by Guardians pitchers Joey Cantillo, Gavin Williams, and Will Dion.

PBATS is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Ability Transcends Challenges Award Series. For the first time since launching the awards series in 2024, PBATS is honoring one business in every Major League Baseball (MLB) city for their commitment to disability #inclusion and #employment. From bakeries and coffee shops to workforce development centers and media studios, these 30 organizations represent the very best of what inclusive hiring looks like across the country. Baseball showcases a rich history of inclusion. From Jim Abbott to Curtis Pride, and many others, the game has long shown that if you can play the game, you'll be given the opportunity — regardless of those challenges you may face along the way. The Ability Transcends Challenges program was built on that same belief; that people with disabilities have an important role to play, and that the workplace should reflect the same spirit the game has demonstrated for decades. We are grateful for the continued partnership of the @NDSS and the support of the @USDOL for their unwavering support of this program. Today, PBATS is supporting the fifth annual National Fentanyl Awareness Day, along with @MLB, @MLB_PR, @SongforCharlie, and the MLB Team Physicians Association. 70% of teen drug deaths involve fentanyl, yet 45% of teens are unaware that fentanyl is used to make counterfeit pills.
