I did a Follow the Money on Victor Marx. He calls himself an exorcist, says he was Charlie Kirk's "spiritual mentor," and is now running for governor of Colorado. What he looks like is a walking red flag who used his charity to benefit himself. Highlights: 🚩 His charity paid him $429,518 in tax-free housing money for his house, then bought that same house from his family trust for $2.95 million. The county says it is worth $853,013. Federal law bars charities from overpaying insiders, that is Private Inurement. IRS may want to look into this because it looks like his charity paid more than 3x his home's value.... 🚩 His trust lent the charity $1.36 million to buy his own house. Donor money now goes back to him as interest. 🚩 The charity put $300,000 of donor money into a board member's private company, lost all of it, and then put him on the payroll. Donations are supposed to fund the mission, not insiders' businesses. Looks like he got this playbook from TPUSA. 🚩 His charity reported a grant that actually went to a rifle manufacturer. That is a false statement on a federal tax return Marx signed. 🚩 Charlie Kirk was killed on September 10. Marx registered his campaign website five days later and launched three weeks after that. A state complaint says his campaign texted people who signed up for Kirk's memorial. If so, it looks like Kirk's memorial was geofenced by Faith by Works and Victor Marx is involved. Worth looking into.... 🚩 The state already found his campaign took more than $83,000 in illegal over-limit donations. The limits exist so that no donor can buy a candidate. 🚩 A road contractor with $400 million in state contracts is paying for the super PAC behind him. As governor, he would appoint the people who hand out those contracts. This man is as shady as they come. If he ran his charity like this, imagine what he would do with Colorado's money.
