The first thing i look at when watching a VR youtuber review the Steam Frame is if they are a member of the META ambassador program.
Spoiler alert, the reviews always line up with their financial interests. "Steam Frame is better but META is going to be better one day eventually maybe possibly"

Valve has another Proton Experimental update out.
Notable changes:
-Early 32-bit OpenXR support
-Fix for CEG-protected games becoming unplayable
-Crysis + Crysis Wars fixed on newer AMD -CPUs with CPUID faulting
-Return to Krondor rendering fix
-Killer7 Japanese text fix
-32-bit OpenXR currently requires:
PROTON_USE_WOW64=1
Small update, but that OpenXR work is worth watching with Valve pushing harder into VR + ARM64.

Zelda BOTW VR Mod Releasing In 2 Days!
5 years ago, Crementif began doing the “impossible”. Trying to port one of the greatest games of all time into full 6DOF VR with motion controls. But being a Wii U game, this was an entirely different kind of challenge.
Through way too many sleepless nights, Crementif stayed with it, and is finally releasing his mod free and open source in 2 days! Here’s just a few of the features:
- Full stereo-rendering with 6DOF (not AER).
- Full VRIK, hands and arms support. You can drip yourself out in all the fanciest clothes.
- Fully and physically wield weapons, torches and bokoblin arms into combat.
- Gestures to equip and throw weapons.
- Use motion controls to interact with the world to solve puzzles or start fires.
- Optional third-person mode.
- Large mod compatibility. BetterVR only modifies the code and no game data. Most other mods should be compatible.
Zelda BOTW has some of the best physics and in VR, a whole new world of what you can do opens up.

I just found out the Risk Of Rain 2 VR mod is actually still a thing and was taken over by a different modder.
Was updated as recently as 2 weeks ago!

The modder is still working on the development of the mod, but in three days a big update is coming out, which is a remaster of the game, and it is not known how the mod will work after it and how many things will have to be adjusted again, so I advise you to wait for the next update :)

Remember when META screwed over the Bigscreen VR developers? And then the Bigscreen team went on to make their own VR headset called Bigscreen Beyond?
META has always preyed on the weak and stolen ideas and innovations from whoever they can. I refuse to pretend they are some bastion of VR innovation. They are a cancer to the industry - even if you like their hardware.

For those who don't know Brian, he is the creator of one of the more important VR games of the early years called Climbey, a timeless VR climbing masterpiece that is still one of the best today and set the standard for VR climbing back in 2016.
He pioneered the climbing mechanics we see so much of in VR games now. So when I see Brian working on something, i pay attention. He's good at what he does.

Got a lil further- wrote a SteamVR driver for it, man doing that on a device running SteamVR is really hard, constant SteamVR restarts, remote desktop was a godsend for this...

Removing Bodycam as it was downgraded from 6DOF to 3DOF because flatscreen users complained apparently.
Nobody wants 3DOF VR mods. Removed.

We are entering the realm of mods I've never tried or tested so experiences may vary. But I do try to verify they work and are up to a certain standard.
Eventually we will be providing more info on the mods, for now we are just filling the page out as much as we can.
