•The agreement also explicitly bans any non-NATO base in Greenland and bans adversaries from making investments in Greenland that could threaten the United States.
◦Under the previous status quo, any country, including adversaries, could be allowed to build a military base in Greenland or send troops to Greenland. By contrast, under this agreement no non-NATO country may build a base in Greenland or maintain a troop presence in Greenland.
◦Under this agreement, only the U.S. and our allies can make sensitive investments in Greenland, eliminating the previous status quo in which adversaries have been investing in Greenland’s sensitive sectors without investment screening.
◦This agreement guarantees that China and Russia cannot have a base in Greenland, they cannot send troops to Greenland, and the necessary mechanisms are in place to prevent investment in sensitive sectors.

Historian and Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Applebaum puts it plainly: Putin looked at Ukraine's democratic movement and thought, "If they can do it in Ukraine, then people could do it in Russia. So I need to crush this."
That's the real threat Ukraine posed. Not missiles. Not borders. A working democracy next door.
Applebaum frames the war as a fault line between the democratic and autocratic worlds. Russia isn't just trying to take territory. It's trying to erase Ukraine as a nation, reduce it to a colony, and send a message to every country that the post-1945 rules of Europe no longer apply.
Those rules were simple: no invasions, no wars, borders don't change by force. Russia understood exactly what it was breaking when it crossed into Ukraine.

Eine Verpackung ist dazu da, ein (Transport-)gut effektiv zu schützen. Für niedriges Gewicht und möglichst geringes Volumen sorgt der Porto-Preis und damit der Markt.
Niemand braucht also so eine Verordnung.
Die Tatsache, dass so ein Schmarren erfunden wird, liegt daran, dass die Brüsseler Bürokraten zu viel Zeit haben. Wer zuviel Zeit hat, denkt sich Unsinn aus.
Und weil diese Bürokraten so viele sind, weil sie schon lange zu viel Zeit und zu viel Geld haben, werden sie arrogant und denken sie sich nicht nur irgendwelchen Unsinn aus, sondern auch noch schädlichen Unsinn.
Nicht nur der Warenverkehr innerhalb der EU wird gestört, auch von außerhalb der EU kommen weniger Güter.
Damit zerstören die Brüsseler Bürokraten ein Kernziel der EU, nämlich den freien Güterverkehr.
Diese Organisation kann weg.
