What else will you cut to finance the tax reduction.
The money must be saved from somewhere.
Some services will have to be cut, which ones?
Reform is the party of working people and pensioners. We’re on your side.
That’s why, within 100 days, we'll deliver a £500 tax cut for 40 million people by raising the tax-free personal allowance from £12,570 to £15,000.
It’s why we’ve chosen to defend the state pension. £1,000 a month is not a luxurious lifestyle. Those who’ve paid in, juggled jobs, done the decent thing, deserve security in later life.
Reform has your back.
Labour the Tories will make other choices. They’ve picked different sides. To cut your pension. To prioritise cutting inheritance tax.
On inheritance tax, don’t get me wrong, it’s hated, and rightly. In time, we’ll get rid of it.
But since honesty is supposedly in fashion this week, let's have some.
Scrapping inheritance tax won't cut bills this winter, or save our high streets, or get decent jobs back.
And here’s something even blunter for a politician to say.
We can’t do everything all at once. The country is broke.
Scrapping inheritance tax costs helps one family in 20.
So my first choice would be to raise the tax-free personal allowance. It means you wouldn’t pay a penny of income tax before that.
And just so you know I’m serious, I’ve said I will resign if I don't deliver that workers’ tax cut in the first 100 days of a Reform government. I challenge my rivals to match that for their pledges.
Raising the personal allowance is the start, but it won’t be enough by itself.
Reform will deliver cheap energy, benefits fair for all, homes built, better public services, secure borders, proper defences, a break for business, chances for kids, and an end to woke nonsense.
Serious parties don’t pick on pensioners because they’re easy targets, or promise a tax cut most families will never see.
They look working families in the eye and saying: you’ve carried this country long enough.
Reform are on your side.
