I’m proud to have the endorsement of Chief Clarissa Sabattis and the Houlton Band of Maliseets Tribal Council.
Representing a rural community, I understand that when the Wabanaki Nations have a vibrant economy, health care, infrastructure and educational opportunities, all of rural Maine benefits.
I recognize the sovereignty of the Wabanaki Nations as Maine Senate President, and fought for tribes in Maine to be treated the same as other federally recognized tribes across the nation.
When I reach the U.S. Senate, I will continue to fight to ensure that the Wabanaki People and people of Maine have the opportunity to thrive.
