I think if more people knew this and understood the history instead of bloviating about a historical event that they have absolutely no context of or curiosity about then maybe they would not be so quick to back a war or whatever this currently is against Iran. People are going to seriously hate me for this, but I don't say the pledge of allegiance anymore. I'll proudly stand and sing all the patriotic songs. I'll be respectful and not take a knee, because it's performative. I just don't take oaths, and I don't make pledges. If my country betrays my morals the hell I'm going to pledge my allegiance to it. 🤷♀️
I still love my country, but it's not because of a flag or the government or our geopolitics. The only pledge/oath I make is to the Trinity and my husband.

Maybe you should hold the current Republican leaders accountable for the "pet maga issues" which happens to be what people actually care about. You know, quality of life for Americans.
Those Republicans determined to sit out the midterms because their pet MAGA issue was not addressed to their satisfaction in the past 2 years need to be mindful of three things:
1) Trump has carried the vast majority of the MAGA agenda forward on his own shoulders, with little-to-no help from either Congress or the judiciary. One man can do only so much.
2) By withholding your vote, WITH CERTAINTY, you let the enemies of all we hold dear win by default. They have already told us what they will do if they regain power: reverse/undo every MAGA gain; tie up the next two years with investigations and impeachment of Trump, his cabinet members and other loyalists; and re-open our borders to unchecked invasion.
3) Say farewell to any chance of election integrity reform. Dems will change all the rules so that we can never vote our way back into the majority.
Wake up. The wolf is at the door. Unite. VOTE!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Our neighbors own the lot behind our house. Their daughter's family live in an RV and travel. Apparently, they own two RV's. They decideded to park an RV right behind our house blocking our view of the canyons in the distance. It's the only place on their lot with an electrical hookup. It's their land. I get it. That being said...I'm thinking of all the things I can do in my backyard to get them to leave. I'm considering all options. We have chickens, an above ground pool and a trampoline. 😣

The sad part is we're cool with our neighbors and their grandchildren play with my daughter. There's no animosity here. They have been very generous giving us eggs before we had chickens, vegetables from their garden and feeding my kid when she's playing with their grand children. They even came running with a shotgun when I was screaming about the skunk that was trying to kill my chickens. My husband shot it in the ass with our glock instead. lol My point is I like these people.

I found some pictures of the sky view we had before that monstrosity. We would sit on our patio and watch the storms light up the sky at night. We are big into star gazing since we came from the city. We lay on the trampoline and watch meteor showers with our kids. 😭 I feel like I've lost a feature of my home. Sure the power lines suck, but I could see the beauty past them.
