He *chose* to not do what he literally campaigned on (lock her up). He *chose* to not make any arrests after their "very illegal" activity. He *chose* to let them walk free so when the time comes they can and will devour him. That was his choice and he can live with it. No one to blame but him here.

Jim Bakker was perhaps the biggest proponent of the Satanic Panic in the 80's, led a campaign to destroy Dungeons & Dragons, Rock & Roll, and anything else he could fire people up about and swindle them out of their money while he lived richly and had adulterous affairs.
