Preggy Padayachee has been shot dead and a friend has been wounded in the shooting.
Padayachee was the uncle-in-law of former police Major-General Feroz Khan.
When Khan was shot in May, Padayachee spoke publicly on behalf of the family.
He also responded publicly when Khan was arrested.
Khan is expected to testify in camera before the Madlanga Commission today.
