Let's clarify. Most libertarians don't care about weed for the sake of "muh drugs."
Ending prohibition directly ties into other issues that conservatives and Republicans have made worse through their policies.
The war on drugs is 50+ years old and hasn't gotten better. It's led to govt violence abroad, an ever expanding police state, and countless lives destroyed because people didn't get needed medical help, were killed through police action or gang violence, and destroyed families.

Michigan is depressing. Hopefully the polls are off, but the prospect of a swing state electing a guy who campaigns with Hasan Piker and responds to an attack on Jews with “hurt people hurt people” over literal Generic Republican is not great.
