Our Trademark application was APPROVED for public publication by the examining officer at the USPTO.
They found our claims were valid and now they get published for public review. This is a brief hold period all applications go through that allows anyone to file a legal dispute against the claim. I don’t anticipate any disputes at this stage since I have filed as the original creator.
Final stretch. Last bit of administrative hold until full IP rights secured.

15 years ago Buttcoin was created as a parody of crypto itself. A blog, a twitter and a subreddit highlighting the humor and absurdity of upending the whole financial world.
Shorty after, the idea of turning the meme into a full fledged cryptocurrency was born. The technology didn’t exist yet, but in 2012 Buttcoin birthed the idea of the world’s first memecoin.
We know our first stop.

With time I've seen how being correct is what moves coins

Because I know how it takes months or over a year sometimes for the market to realize and come together around something
If it's correct, it will find the army of ppl needed to go up, it will find ppl who want to market it, it will attract influencers to it

Had some community members reach out with questions about IP, where we are in the process, the benefits, etc.
IP is still under review by the USPTO. This is a long process that I’ve known from the beginning would take several months and likely some necessary revisions. The USPTO deals with tens of thousand submissions per month and they have a 6 month+ backlog before even looking at your application. There’s nothing that can be done to make this process faster. We have an examiner assigned, they’re reviewing the application and I hope to know more in the next few weeks.
The application was reviewed, prepared and submitted by the respected @GivnerLaw law firm. They have experience in successful memecoin IP submissions. They are professionals and I stay in touch with them regularly.
The benefits for $Buttcoin are numerous. It gives us expanded legitimacy with crypto companies like CEX, it cements our claim as the “first memecoin” with an established first-use date of 2011 with the creator backing it, and allows us further opportunities for branding and merchandising.
It’s also really funny that Buttcoin is in an official government database.
One last note; you don’t get “IP secured” when you submit your application. I’ve seen other groups make some dubious claims with very short timelines and I want to reiterate this is a long, very rigorous process that takes time if you want it done right. And we’re doing it the right way.
